Beltre turns 36 when the 2015 season starts. He has 2604 career hits. He should reach 3000 hits sometime in the second half of the 2017. With 395 homeruns, he probably won't reach 500 career homeruns but he should finish with around 450-470.
But the real qualifier: he is 42nd all time on the career WAR list for position players. Of the 41 guys ahead of him, 34 are in the HOF and the other 7 are: Barry Bonds - blacklisted but with HOF stats Alex Rodriguez - HOF stats but will ultimately be black listed Albert Pujols - future HOFer Chipper Jones - future HOFer Ken Griffey, Jr - future HOFer Pete Rose - blacklisted but with HOF stats Jeff Bagwell - HOF stats but possibly blacklisted

Could go either way.

Problem is around this age they just suddenly fall off a cliff hard to see him make 3000 Think he only makes the Hall of very good regardless
