There is some rare exceptions ... like Kershaw ... Verlander got his deal at 30 years old I believe. Far too many years and there was no need to do it. Fuck extensions Of course there is a need to....they will walk if you dont. Once they get to FA...you know some desparate big market team will open up the bank... Verlander had 2 years left which means he would have been signed through next year .... what was the point? |
