Will the Yankees ever win? Will the Mariners ever lose? Break up the Astros! Double no-no in Milwaukee...almost. Sports Chatter > Zig's Bar and Grill. Who would make the playoffs if the season ended today?

Your playoff teams if the season ended today:
NL East Champ - Washington NL Central Champ - Pittsburgh NL West champ - LA Dodgers NL Wild Card [HASH]1 - San Francisco, Miami or Atlanta NL Wild Card [HASH]2 - San Francisco, Miami or Atlanta
AL East Champ - Toronto AL Central Champ - Detroit or Chicago AL West champ - Seattle AL Wild Card [HASH]1 - Detroit or Chicago AL Wild Card [HASH]2 - Houston
The moral to this story is this: Even though we are only four days into the new season, most of the playoff spots are held by the teams we expected, with only 3 or 4 exceptions.

But, until this place starts picking up more traffic, it may be a necessary evil. I'm trying to create other threads in the forums queue, but the CBS crew are just daily thread junkies.

I don't really mind having a daily type thread as long as it doesn't become mostly crap and bickering. Gotta say I'm not very happy with most of the other guys anyway... I didnt think I was asking too much(post here some too) after all the headaches I put up with trying to keep everyone happy. oh well, I'm taking notes lol

I don't think a daily thread is bad as long as it's a bs thread and other threads on other topics are made

Big furniture store here does a promotion where if you buy furniture it's free if the Sox win the World Series...They've been doing it for a few years now, I think it started in '07 so they've had to give away free stuff twice
As a promotion in 2007, Jordan's offered full rebates on certain pieces of furniture bought between March 7 and April 16 - provided the Boston Red Sox won the World Series. To cover the potential liability, the store took out an insurance policy for approximately twenty million US dollars. On October 28, 2007, the Red Sox beat the Colorado Rockies to win the World Series, Jordan's Furniture wrote checks to an estimated 24,000 qualified customers. Joseph Frate of Medford, MA sued Jordan's Furniture claiming that the promotion was an illegal lottery. The case was thrown out by the Middlesex Superior Court and, upon appeal by Frate, by the state Appeals Court in July 2009.[3][4]

Just speaking the truth, Husker... I'm pissed that the Angels are repeating last year. Trying to dig themselves deep enough in the first month of the season that they will never get out of it.
