I think you're a little too harsh on Brady but I think Luck enters that group by seasons end. I'm not You'll all catch on LOL. So now you're back to the Brady sucks all the time routine? When do you start hedging your bets with the "I only said Brady sucks in the playoffs! I've never said he was bad in the regular season!"

arrington shit his pants, didnt help in his part of the zone coverage (saw this said on nfl network yesterday too) Revis isn't the same guy he was with the Jets. Doesn't mean he's still not elite. But teams are going to throw at him more than they used to than say they will Sherman. Sherman is just more athletic and physically gifted. Sherman has better help in certain schemes, the Patriots are going to rely on Revis to shut down one half of the field, and I think that's going to hurt them. If they went all in for the 2009-2010 version of Revis, that's a big mistake on their part. thats fair but what i dont get is this...hes played 1 game here, and cramped up late (which hurt his play) he was coming off surgery last yuear in TB and was used wrong in a bad system for him (well documented) how do we really know hes not what he was as a jet?

Follow the best receiver or take away half the field? They choose to take away half the field and they are the best defense and team in football Why fix it what they do works, never argued that but as has been said by others here, if you dont get everyones number 1, how do you know youre the best CB? how can it be said? it cant its unquantifiable Well let's not act as if he hasn't had plenty of days where he has locked up and shut down the best receiver on the other team And like I said last night, who is in the conversation? Maybe Patrick Petersen? Maybe Joe Haden, who had a day of getting toasted yesterday like I've never seen from Sherman

Because he's not 26. And the surgery. I believe he makes them better, don't get me wrong. But there's a part of me where some of the guys on D are going to rely on him too much because of who he is. So that's where Arrington had that "oh sheeeeet" moment on the field. I've seen this before with Deion as he got older, Rod Woodson...etc...I think they have to design plays where Revis just has man coverage. He wasn't comfortable in Tampa with Cover 2/3. So what does that say about him as a player?

Outside of a Moss deep post years ago, Revis literally never had a bad day as a Jet Stevie Johnson did have his way a few times, but outside of that I agree. Revis did not have a good game yesterday......he got beat a few times and tannehill missed the throws (i have seen the plays now, and heard about them plenty on the radio)........ BUT I do agree with Rock that it's hard to say sherman is clearly the best corner in the league when he plays the same spot every single time. I know it is what is best for the team and it works for the team.....but like i said last night, I think the reason that works has more to do with Thomas than Sherman. I wish the ari/sd game wasn't at 10:30 or whatever it is tonight, I don't get to see Peterson that often.

But again, when QBs will not use 50% of the field because you are there , that's vintage Revis treatment right there

only 2 people yesterday kept saying that play was zone coverage me snoogins now today its zone? wtf? He got scored on. That's it. Just leave it at that. Even if (who was it Arrington) who had that "oh shit" moment, no reason Mike Wallace should be scoring like that with Revis all over him like a fly on dog shit. Stop blaming someone else because Revis got beat on a tough play. Takes balls to throw in that guys direction. Case in point, Rodgers never threw Sherman's way once. I'd be mor inclined to agree with this if you didn't dedicate a year of your life to saying that Welkers TD was not Revis' fault because of the zone coverage...

Over the past couple of years? I might be wrong. But that has to take a toll on CB at some point. Especially one who is demanded upon to cover half a field. What I mentioned earlier is them being a difference from 12-4 to 10-6. They're not a dominant football team like they once were and the window is closing.

interesting
passes defended by revis year by year
16 gamees, 17 PD 16 games, 16 PD 16 games, 31 PD 13 games, 0 PD (his awesome year, the one you guys refer to as "wasnt being thrown to") 16 games, 21 PD 2 games, 3 PD 16 games, 11 PD 1 game, 2 PD (so far)
100 PD in 96 games, just over 1 per game 1.041 per game
Sherman:
16 games (10 starts), 17 PD 16 games, 24 PD 16 games, 18 PD 1 GP, 0 PD (so far)
59 PD in 49 games, or 1.204 per game
yet they "dont throw to sherman"?

Luck threw for almost 400 yards and almost pulled off an epic comeback against the 2nd best team in the league, in their house Tom Brady was beyond awful against a middle of the road defense, and he is on the verge of ruining another receivers career in Brandon Lafell, because his greatest asset is his ability to throw underneath patterns to pesky white slot guys What are you even talking about?

that was awesome
I'm now a Fred Jackson fan
thought they were fucked when the refs picked up the holding flag on 3rd and 10 when cutler had one of his patented 'just throw it and let marshall find it' plays for 15 yards.
I have never, ever seen the refs pick up a flag for offensive holding in my life.
even with the refs, they lost to the 'only on primetime once' 'pathetic' bills.
I hope lemi enjoyed it.
