He does have nice dimples... He does. Very handsome fellow. Romo is fun to pick on and he gets blamed far too much when the Cowboys lose, but he was awful yesterday. Brady like. I only saw highlights, and they made him look super shitty...He seemed rusty, but a guy I talk to claimed he looked good as far as his back was concerned... They don't have a chance to win any game without him playing extremely well, though the defense held up nicely...

Mayos a good linebacker. Hes more of a hybrid pass cover/run stopper. He doesnt do either at an elite level but he does both very well. Good linebackers arent a dime a dozen in this league. Yeah, they pretty much are. Unless you can rush the passer or cover TE's and RB's consistently...and he doesn't do either. He's a body. Easily replaceable. Unless you think that LB's who make tackles 8-10 yards downfield are a rare commodity. You really think the only thing Mayo does is down the field tackling?

It is. He sucks. He was named all-pro once...because the all-pro team is selected by writers...and they select it by looking at stat sheets. "This guy leads in tackles (unofficial stat and calculated differently from team to team) and he plays for Belichick, who's a defensive genius...all-pro!" Jerod Mayo in 82 games has 10 sacks, 3 INT's, and 7 forced fumbles. Amazing. The defense fell to shit as soon as he was out. They could live without vince. Mayos the defensive qb. He also doesnt suck by any stretch. Hes just nit great or memorable. No ones gonna remember the great mayo defenses of the 2010s, but hes not a slouch. He went out after week 6...136, 129, 97, 58, 162, 131...the rushing yards allowed by the Pats last year weeks 1-6. Coincidentally (or not), Wilfork went out after week 4. Aside from the Denver game and the last game vs the season vs Buffalo, there was virtually no difference in the rush defense between week 4 (when Wilfork got hurt), and week 6 (when Mayo went out) from the rest of the season. www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/nwe/2013.htmHe's a body, nothing more, nothing less. Worth the 10th overall pick in the draft? Laughable.

He just made terrible decisions yesterday.

Who 2 what? I asked if that was sarcasm.and thusly seemingly agreed with Snoogs crazy assesment that a dude drafted 10th overall and has been named an all pro however many times , is a good player... I think Mayo raped JD's wife or something well he is injury prone. at least according to rock's logan mankin's standards......

Tackles 1-3 yards don't have value? Sure they do, but when you give up 200 yards on the ground, you're not making many tackles within 1-3 yards. And is a LB that can do that a rare commodity? Nope. He's a body. The much maligned AJ Hawk is >>>> Mayo.

Your're not an NFL roster as a LB if you can't tackle. That's the minimum requirement.

so rock
is mayo "injury prone"?
# of games played in mayo's career, mankins played the exact amount in that period of time.
but
mankins played two more years (missing 0 games) and made more pro bowls. so if mayo is traded, it wouldnt be a big deal, right/

I won't argue AJ Hawk being mediocre with you, because you're right...I don't pay enough attention to the other guy though...

Yet he was shown the door... I can't wait until this shit bites Belachick in the ass in the form of the Bills beating them out for the final playoff spot...

They were both top 10 picks that have made very few impact plays, and neither do anything especially well.

Geno looked better sunday than Sanchez ever looked.......ever. Maybe not statistically, but eye test......better than sanchez ever looked. Scary thought for the NFL considering Sanchez made 2 AFCCG's.
