Not long after signing a one-day contract that allowed him to retire with the Angels, Vladimir Guerrero tossed out the ceremonial first pitch before the team's opener. Angels batting coach Don Baylor was tasked with receiving that first pitch, and unfortunately Baylor was injured while doing so: Guerrero, after making his toss, seemed to think Baylor was joking around. After he helped Baylor to his feet, though, it became clear that that 64-year-old former MVP was indeed hurt ... Here's hoping for a successful surgery and speedy recovery for Mr. Baylor. www.cbssports.com/mlb/eye-on-baseball/24509634/don-baylor-injures-leg-while-receiving-first-pitch-sent-to-hospital

Morning Zig. Saw that Baylor vid...yeesh. They're saying he may have some kind of condition that weakened his bones? Might be some marrow problem or cancer, nothing confirmed at this point, though.
Either way, hope he recovers.

Hah...with the auto-edit of "Cowboy" over on the other thread, the link doesn't work. It says "RatBoys qb Romo."

Yeah the Baylor story was real lol. There's a vid if you click the link but it doesn't show the pitch, starts when Baylor falls to the ground. Vlad thought he was joking at first.
freaking weird injury tho
