The man has lost control of the pulse of the Tigers. This 15-5 debacle against the Twins has included two scored errors, probably four more major mental blunders in the field, 7 walks, 15 runs on 12 hits for the last place but capable Twins.
Not this capable without a major assist from a blundering and underachieving unit as their opponent. Dombrowski has not helped with the Fister trade.
I have watched the Tigers with intent interest since 1967 and this is the sorriest performance that I have ever seen them turn in.
My best friend Cliff had lunch with none other than the great Al Kaline Wednesday and Al, in a candid relaxed atmosphere was asked if Ausmus was a good manager. Ever the diplomat, Al said that he is "going to be" a good manager. This is NOT the time for "going" to be a good manager. Lloyd McClendon has worked wonders with the Mariners. I wish we had Lloyd here as manager in Detroit to "walk off the field" with 2nd base in his hands and light a FIRE under these underachievers.
I would offer Tony LaRussa ANY amount of money to take this team over through the 2015 season.
