Here's a breakdown of how you can customize your experience and learn how certain things work.
Click "profile" to change, upload or make an avatar. Keep Avs PG-13 please
after clicking "profile" click "edit profile" for more options such as:
Personal: Here you can change your display name, change your password and add or change a "signature"( A "sig" which is text that shows up at the bottom of your posts)
Social: Here you can add links to your Facebook, Twitter, Google+ etc. (this info is hidden from "guests", only "members" can see it)
Settings: Here you can change how the site looks for you by changing the "theme" (different colors and some themes have more options and features than others) You can "preview" themes right on that page, hopefully there's 1 you like and I do add more from time to time. You can also show or hide avatars, signatures and smilies. "Enable drafts" will save posts that you start, useful if you have a bad connection or are planning on making a longer post.
Privacy: Here you can set who can view your profile, you can opt to be "invisible" (your name won't be visible in the "online users" area) and you can manage your blocked/ignored users list.
Notifications: Users get "notifications" for things such as when some one "likes" or replies to one of your posts, when you get a PM etc...Turn them on/off or get them only on here or get an email alert

Other helpful hints:
To post a picture or GIF click the image tab. You need to erase the "http" that shows up then paste in the URL...
to post a Youtube video just post the link and it'll embed the video

Try this:
[twitter id= "Tweet ID here"
the tweet ID is obtained by clicking on the date of any tweet you see on your screen to open the individual tweet on its own page and grabbing the numerical ID that shows at the end of the address bar.

How do I move certain threads into my area or mark as Important to me so that I see them when I log on? you can either "bookmark" a thread or just click on the "participated" tab... to bookmark a thread, go to the threads list, hover over the thread title and a little box will appear...check the box...then click "actions" and "bookmark thread" hope that helps |

I told you I couldn't paste anything into the site so a screenshot was out of the question...and I changed to various other themes and they all have centered. BTW, I'm using Zig's Theme. I understand that it is usually PICNIC, but wondering if you had heard about this before and had a simple fix. I do work with computers and programming a little bit so am aware of that. Not faulting you for that, just your rapid 'bye' response...but it is what it is. |
