manslaughter maybe...but the kid should have never walked on to the track either... yeah..walking on the track is dumb IMO....but tempers get heated especially if you are a young kid trying to make it and some established guy puts you into a wall.

Young drivers should expect veteran drivers to put them into walls and bang them around until they become veteran drivers and know how to avoid it or bang back. I doubt they'll charge him with anything. Involuntary Manslaughter is a contradiction in terms anyway if you ask me. Why do you have to do time when you involuntarily hurt somebody? Isn't that called an accident? Should be liable for damages but not a criminal trial.

I'll add that I know nothing about racing. I do know about common sense though and common sense says you dont walk in to the middle of a race track... especially at night...wearing a black suit
