So I tagged erryone that has played in the past. WE need to find out if everyone from last time is still in or not or if anyone else wants back in...So if you're in speak up, if you're out speak up...and I'll update the list below. I can also add who has paid or not... Dirt has a team, not sure if anyone has heard from him? Is pickles playin? Did MD drop out? lets straighten this out for TT... --------------------------- tigertowner 68 is running the league and asked me to pass this along; The Vlasic Classic will return as originally set up with one new wrinkle. Optional betting. Players may elect to put $50 into a pot that I will set up in Pay Pal. All that choose to be eligible for the pot must place their money in prior to the draft March 27. No shaking anyone down for the money through the season or after. The first place winner receives all proceeds the day following the close of the season. Jackpot depends on the number of people wagering. 8 people wager, pot = $400. Seven people, $350. I'm in as a payer. If Zig is collecting the money, then I'm in as a non-payer. Cotton - The site is set up. Payment must be received by March 26 (day before the draft). You will not be dicking around waiting for money because everyone that elected to pay will have done so. You don't have to pay to play, but you do if you want to share in the jackpot. You mean someone that did not pay trying to direct star players at another that did elect to pay after they look like big time contenders, then splitting it? Managers must watch. A player can vote to veto any trade and should recognize bad ones. As far as cuts, not much can be done except watching the waiver wire. If managers are really lax, who knows? Do we have to get the FBI involved? Hope not. I think I can trust the guys on here more than them. |

EVERYONE-
I'll say if this gets 6 votes, it's in. If not, as they say in Congress, it's DOA.
Considering a bonus for paying Vlasic league participants.
First to put the $50 in gets to pick his draft position. The next does, and the next does, and so on. Because you can do that in draft settings! This will likely leave me picking pretty low because as commissioner I am electing not to wager mainly because I am acting as treasurer, and because my picks suck AND because nobody could ascertain whether I actually paid to get in on the jackpot or not. It will be a winner take all jackpot. If I win the league, or someone else does that did not elect to pay, the jackpot goes to the closest finisher to the top.
Please respond by March 20, here or on the league site.

Seriously, I just want to know what happened. I played twice. If my team wasn't removed and it autodrafted and sat idle for a season, I have no control over that. But I played twice. 4-5 years ago, during the stretch run, Cotton and Francis made a collusion trade. I forget which side was sending, but the team that was still in contention got three studs and traded away three stiffs. The league vetoed it, of course. But it was a money league... And they tried to cheat us. |

But if someone does not wish to play-they just need to state as much. I don't think there is much support for the first pay first to get their choice of draft pick idea. We'll give it a bit. I don't really care if nobody wants to pay. It's totally up to them. It's roto, so it could be any number of teams, even or odd. |
