Im confused by the process The Yankees absolutely would not trade Gardner, so I really am not grasping the benefit of waivers The one and only reason to put him through waivers is to enable the team to trade him if they should so choose... hey loser, don't report me but... um, you are SHOCKINGLY wrong again. Teams will often use the Waiver process to determine the market interest in a player |
