Wasn't Ortiz benched last night because the field was wet? No. It was because the National League doesn't have a DH. Nah ah! Red Sox: David Ortiz was scratched because of concerns with wet grounds and Napoli got the start at first base instead.

I've got the real answer
Red Sox: David Ortiz did not get the start at first base Thursday night because he was banging your mom.

Ok. But before I go....didn't Teixeira start the week by skipping a game because he was "dizzy" and end it by missing multiple games because he had a sore pinkie??

It's fitting that he wears the same uniform and plays the same position as Lou Gehrig.

Ichiro batting 9th(again) for the Yankees despite being one of the 3 best bats in the lineup.

The Yankees are not far off from facing yet another round of questions with regard to embattled third baseman Alex Rodriguez, writes Joel Sherman of the New York Post. Though simply cutting him loose surely has some appeal, given the uncertainty of his ability to perform (to say nothing of off-field considerations), Sherman notes that doing so would prevent any chance of recovering some portion of the remaining $61MM owed Rodriguez if his hip issues ultimately trigger an insurance payout. Sherman argues that the club should have Rodriguez report for training in October, ready to learn first base. The Yankees could then begin to see what he has left to offer, opening the possibility of using him on either side of the diamond and recouping what value there is left to be had from his ill-fated contract.

Of course he does! He has $61m reasons to get ready for the season. We know he has no shame. He also could get to some of those "historic milestones" Cashman smartly inserted into his deal. "I'm in the best shape of my career. The time off did wonders for my body!" -Arod Spring Training 2015

Oh it is so in his makeup to wanna come back "The Yankees and their fans hate my guts ? Can't wait to get back!!!" There has to be another motive...likely financial. I doubt he really wants to be in a lineup again.

Pete said Teixeira is a lock for come back player of the year. No way Arod get his position.
