By the way Boston.... Pedroia is far and away the best defensive 2B in baseball this year...a pretty staggering 14.5 defensive WAR. Next closest is 8.2 Shut you boston homer. Pedroia sucks and is only hitting well because the team is out of it. He has been hitting better of late... Last I checked he was hovering around a 90 wRC+ a month or so ago...He's up to 101 now. Still a negative offensive WAR player though because his baserunning is atrocious this year...-2.3

138 wRC+ 4.1 WAR Best 2nd baseman in the game this year. So, what I say is true, and, what you say is true. What does this mean, other than 2B guys are kind of sucking this year? His wRC+ is right in line with what it's been over the last 4-5 years. 2009: 124 2010: 143 2011: 134 2012: 149 2013: 142 2014: 138

I'm sure I'm late to the party, but after reading Rock's headline I thought the question should be asked (perhaps again)...
What's up with Victorino's vag? And does this mean JBJ won't be sent down? If so, I like it!

Maybe Dusty should consider retirement.

Good point, Dickey!
You know who hits after Bradley?
The other team.

Defensive metrics are flawed, but I understand them much better than I did in the past.

rumor around town this afternoon is that Cespedes could actually have been acquired to be a key chip going to Miami in a deal for Stanton. His relations to Cuba would make him popular in Miami and he will be certainly much more cost controllable then Stanton will be. Obviously it will take a lot more than just a test to get the deal done but it's an intriguing thought.

If you knew nothing at all about baseball and just saw david price standing on the mound from the stretch. You would never imagine he was any damn good at all.

I knew it Is he melting yet? Turned on and mccann jacked one lol McCann seems to be of a similar mind hitting wise to Cal Ripken. If things are not working for you, dump your current approach, and go with something new and different. It worked for Cal. For McCann, they jury is still out, to say the least. Keep the home fires burning without me gents.

Sox are the only team that can get a leadoff triple and still be unlikely to score.

"He beat up water coolers and made a mean face, what a warrior"
Yankees knew they were getting a warrior when they traded Roberto Kelly to get him.
