Keep Rex Brothers or drop him? In the nicest way I can, I wonder why you would have him in the first place. Even in holds leagues, he is nothing special. You can easily do much better i'm sure with someone, anyone else. Sounds good. I will get rid of him.

As the calendar moves to September, fantasy folks are now faced with making more and faster choices than ever. This is due to the 9/1 callup date, and related roster expansion. Due to this, it is harder than ever to set your rosters, be it in daily or weekly change leagues. As such, the days of setting your daily lineup ahead of time are over. To help, it starts with the MLB team your guy plays for. Are they in the playoff hunt, or are they just playing out the string? If it is the former, there should be less roster upset. If it is the latter though, your stud might be finding more bench time, even though he is otherwise healthy. To best deal, I suggest checking many times a day sites dedicated to posting lineups each day. Today, and though it is still very early, you would see that Marlon Byrd is not playing today.
Another angle is the injured player and the D/L. Now, there is no rush to D/L guys at all. As such, you might be waiting and waiting for a team to make that move. In many cases though, they won't. It's kind of shitty, but MLB teams care nothing of our fantasy teams, and don't care that by doing this, they are leaving us with an otherwise dead and useless roster spot. Cases in point, Dustin Pedroia and Carlos Gomez. Both are hurt, and would otherwise have ben D/L'ed. But, neither will be, with their respective teams just calling up another kid to replace them roster wise.
Last, and for you weekly folks, beware the 2 start pitcher. In one way. Just because a guy is scheduled for 2, and even does very good in the first game, it does not mean for 100% certain that he will get that 2nd start. This is very much related to the MLB teams place in the standings, as the bottom feeders will be using this month more and more to get their young kids some action, which may cost your stud starter a game or 2.

From the same folks I got the info from late last week that Miguel Cabrera was likley to be rested most of this week (Thanks a bunch for that), I am now seeing the same thing being discussed about the White Sox Jose Abreu. So, while not doing anything drastic, you may want to keep a close eye on this, as his availablity for tonights game is very much in question/

Don't have to worry about Abreu

It's just a very difficult time to nail down who is playing when, making having a good spot/site for roster info a real plus.
Some early confirmed "sitters" for today.
Billy Hamilton, Ryan Ludwick, Jay Bruce, and Brandon Phillips for the Reds.
Torii Hunter, Ben Zobrist, James Loney & Matt Adams.

I just found myself a new favorite sleeper keeper. It is all based on one single video, and just a few words of info. Still, I think this kid will merit watching at the very least.
His name is Vladimir Guerrero Jr. He is 6’2″, 220 pounds and,is 15 years old.
So, put that name in your back pocket, and bring it out in a few years, to see if he made of himself what the few scouts that have watched him so far think.
A sure fire hit.....

Just another reason for me to like Adam Dunn -
Back in Chicago just days after being traded to the A’s, Adam Dunn said that he understood the boos from White Sox fans, writes Colleen Kane of the Chicago Tribune. “I get it. I had a fantasy team not do very well this week, and I wasn’t happy with those guys either,” Dunn said. “Obviously it makes it harder, but it comes with the territory. Hopefully we can make them boo again tonight.”

Talk about love and hate with fantasy baseball......
The love is in seeing your yearlong investment of time and effort paying off if and when your fantasy teams win, and reaping ethier actual financial rewards, or, like me, just more virtual hardward/trophies.
The bad is that, this time of year, that nothing is set in stone, and that things can change in a moments notice. The example today was the info that the Mets will not let Jacob degrom make is final start. For me, that meant re-tweaking 4 different teams, and figuring out who to dump him for.
For me, after much thought and analysis, that meant picking up Bud Norris to 2 teams, Carlos Carrasco for another, and even the Nationals catcher Wilson Ramos.
As such, I hope you folks still playing, and still with a shot at winning, are keeping up with this kind of info, and making changes accordingly.

Like every last week of the season in my Roto leagues with daily changes, I am living in a place called "streamer city". It is a rough place to be, as you have to make a lot of decisions, and need to make them every day, AND, before everyone else does. What I am refering to is rotating of starting pitchers each and every day, replacing the guy that started yesterday, and replacing him with someone starting today.
I have 2 personal examples, both that went worse than hoped. My guy for most leagues yesterday was the Giants Yusmeiro Petit. He went from great start, and likely win after 5 innigs, to sub quality game in 5 1/3 innings, to a no decision, as the Giants pen let the Padres back into the game before the Giants bats came alive and saved their day.
My guy today was Zach Cozart of the Marlins. I figured he was in for a good game, as the Nats were playing the 3rd of 4 games in 2 days, having double headers on back to back days.
Well, he went 5 today, and gave up on 2 earned runs. But, 8 walks. Really? Yes! Ugh!!!!
My guys for tomorrow are already Dan Haren and Danny Duffy. I can only hope they fare better.
As shown above using this approach in daily change leagues does not always work out well. However, as the leagues I play in also have games played and innings pitched limits, I try not to leave any games or innings "on the table", choosing instead to use all of my possible "bullets" in this long marathon I call a baseball fantasy year.

Just some info and disclosure going forward.
I love fantasy baseball, and have been playing it in many shapes and forms for the past 24 years. I also love to help others who enjoy playing, and who reach out for help and info when they need it. That said, I AM NOT THE BEST PLAYER EVER. Probably very far from it. As such, I am not coming at this like I know everything, and can see and fix everything you may have wrong with your team. What I am, is very willing to help, and, helping from a place of knowledge, knowing I am nowhere near the best of the best.
All of this is leading up to the end of my own fantasy season, and info for you to use going forward if you choose.
I ran 4 teams this year myself. 3 ROTO, and 1 H2H. And, In ended up with 3 2nd place finishes and 1 first.
Not bad, but not world beating. So, I can and will help. All you have to do is be interested and trusting enough to ask.
