Last night on Raw in a surreal and extremely sad moment WWE Universal Champ Roman Reigns (Joe Anoai) announced that his leukemia had returned after 11 years and he was relinquishing the title to be with his family as he fight the disease again. There were rumors that Roman/Joe was hurt but no one expected this. How could we. Joe had never revealed to fans that he was a cancer survivor. Instead, he was determined to make it or not based on his talent and ability to entertain fans and not because people pitied him or felt sorry for him.

We all know cancer is a bastard. Joe has a long and hard road ahead of him. But he vowed to beat this and be back in a WWE ring to prove that when life throws a curve ball at you you have to choke up on the bat and hit it out of the park.  Joe doesn't want or need our pity but he does need our positive thoughts and prayers as he once again takes on the fight of his like. The power of positive thinking can move mountains when it needs to. Joe needs all the positive thoughts we can send his way.

For those that don't know, Joe is part of a wrestling dynasty, a Samoan family that includes the Wild Samoans (one of which, Afa, is Joe's father) and the Rock.  

I hope and pray Joe beats this and is back in a WWE ring doing what he and his family loves to do, entertain all of us!!!
