Another day, another NFL player in trouble for domestic abuse.
While not being dumb enough to say that this does not happen to MLB players, it sure seems like it happens a lot less. And, I think if I were a sports minded female, I would be following and watching a lot less football, and a lot more baseball going forward.
But, that would mean that people would really need to think about this as important, and, for most, that is just asking too much......

BigD, I think your boys are gonna win the division, but hopefully it'll be a tight, fun race to the finish.

The Nationals have the best pitching staff in baseball, yet they don't really have a Cy Young candidate anywhere on the roster...

The Nationals have the best pitching staff in baseball, yet they don't really have a Cy Young candidate anywhere on the roster... thats because there is only one legitimate candidate in the NL

The Nationals have the best pitching staff in baseball, yet they don't really have a Cy Young candidate anywhere on the roster... I was just about to praise the Ntas pitching myself. And, in respect to the above, I could see just about any team having a winning year with a rotation made up of solid "#2" pitchers. A # 1 or real ace is great, but, you need talent from # 1 to # 5, and the Nats do have that. To me, their only pitching question mark is former closer Rafael Soriano. Like so many closer this year, he seems to be hitting a wall, a month before the season ends. The fact that they have former and now current closer Drew Storen to turn to has made a big difference for them so far, and will continue to do so. Still, I like the Dodgers chances against them. To borrow a 50 year old saying from the Braves: Kershaw & Greinke, and, pray for rain.......

The Nats actually have an excellent bullpen to speak of too, so you're hoping that Grienke and Kershaw can go 9 and then have a shitload of rain come to your rescue...

Dodgers Logic would kind of say that I would be anti- Giants as far as, well, anything goes. But, as far as the post season, I have no issue with them. Strangely, I have more issue with the Yankees or Red Sox getting in. This comes from delaing with too many of their fans on different message boards, and how most ( NOT all ) can be so annyoing.

Yup, Fister was their best guy if you're looking at the entire year...But local radio is saying that Strasburg should go Game 1...Fuck that, I want Fister in Game 1...Stras in Game 2 because he's better at home...Zimmerman in Game 3... Zimmerman's also been hurt too this year...Tanner Roark has been awesome...

Yup, Fister was a beast in the AL, I was surprised the Tigers let him walk (I know $ played a part but still). You know your boys better than I do, but Zimmerman would be #2 in my playoff rotation.

Again, I was just digging up an old comment about the Braves, from the early 50's. It made more sense in the original form, but, I see that you follow me. The original goes, Spahn & Sain, and pray for rain, as they only had those 2 good starting pitchers on those teams. Before the year started, "on paper", I saw the Dodgers bullpen as a real strenght. How could one not, as it was full of guys that all had closed at some point. As it has turned out, it ended up more of a show of reason as to why these guys were not closers anymore. DOH!

I was just saying mlb will continue to be 90% non-black. its too slow, costs too much money to play in america. its a white kid sport, and white parents all over the country are paying $40-50 a week for private lessons, so their kid can be a "future major leaguer."

Looked at very literaly, this is aboout the worst way to begin an MLB career.
Rusney Castillo grounded out, catcher to first.
Now, maybe he bunted. I don't know. But, if not, how lame.....
