I was just watching some highlights of the Wings/Flyers game in Detroit and it looked like the arena was about half full. I've noticed a lot of empty seats whenever I've watched Wings games. I checked the attendance figures and according to ESPN they are averaging 100% attendance for their home games. How is that even possible? Look at all the empty seats If seats are paid for then they can announce them as sold So your saying that people are buying the seats and then not showing up? That also means that corporations are buying seats and they can't even give the tickets away. So much for Hockey Town. |

They do have the best (or one of the best, I haven't checked lately) team in hockey so they ought to be showing up. Give them a couple years before we lay that title on them. |

Not going to be many dry eyes in the arena tonight. MAF comes back to Pittsburgh as a Golden Knight. I'm interested to see the video tribute they give to him. Most Pens fans I know wouldn't be disappointed if he shut Pittsburgh out. On a happier note, if you watched the Superbowl you saw a kid playing with his cell phone when Timberlake walked by. We have since found out what he was doing.  |

The Flour came in to Pittsburgh with a 1.84 GAA and the Pens lit him up for 5 goals. Real nice tribute early in the game.
Also had Steeler Ryan Shazier in the stands. He was partially paralyzed after making what looked to be a routine stop. Thrilled the crowd to see him standing.
All in all a pretty emotional night for Pittsburgh.
