1 Cleveland Myles Garret DE, Texas A & M No brainer pick here as their is no elite QB in this draft. No one will trade up here 2 San Francisco Marshon Lattimore CB, Ohio State Was figuring them on a QB but think they will pass here and either get a sliding prospect day 2 or wait till 2018 QB heavy draft 3 Chicago Bears Malik Hooker S, Ohio State With Glennon signed as I suspect a bridge QB and a weak OL class they take a green but elite ballhawk in Hooker 4 Jacksonville Jamal Adams -S, LSU With their D-line upgrades the Jags filkl another hole in their D with an in the box S to go with last years 1st Ramsry in a top young secondary 5 Tennessee Mike Williams WR, Clemson Probably too early to pick Williams but he'd be long gone before their pick at 18 Titans get their go to receiver for Mariota 6 NY Jets Solomon Thomas DE, Stanford With an obvious extreme makeover happening in Florham Park they could go QB here especially as they'd have their pick of the litter, but these moves look more like positioning for next seasons QB draft and with Sheldon Richardson apparently on the block Thomas makes great sense here 7 Los Angeles Chargers Corey Davis WR, Western Michigan Davis joins a loaded set of targets for Rivers Expect a day 2 QB successor pick 8 Carolina Jonathan Allen DT, Alabama Gettleman loves him D-linemen and as I believe he will let Lotuleilei leave next season he takes his successor here. Yes Fournette would make sense here but with Stewart restructuring his contract and Fournette is a questionable help in the passing game I believe they will pass. Trading down is a possibility 9 Cincinnati Reuben Foster LB, Alabama Bengals grab a tackling machine to finally replace Malaluga at ILB. Could see them going outside the box and taking the speedster Ross here to open up the field for the running game and he's the perfect compliment to AJ Green 10 Buffalo Ryan Ramczyk OT, Wisconsin Buffalo fills a hole on their O-line. Ross would look good here as well 11New Orleans O.J. Howard - TE, Alabama Or Njoku replace the hole left when Graham was traded to Seattle 12 Cleveland Forrest Lamp G, Western Kentucky Possible spot to trade down here or select a QB as well, but it's hard to learn QB position when you are running for your life 13 Arizona DeShone Kizer - QB, Notre Dame The Mad Mel is speechless moment I hope for, a perfect succession plan for Palmer moving on a Arians style fit at QB 14 Philadelphia Dalvin Cook - RB, Florida State I can also see a CB or WR go here. Eagles take Cook over Fournette as he is also a threat in the passing game 15 Indianapolis Cam Robinson, OT, Alabama Indy reaches to protect Luck and takes a right tackle in the 'Bama product Bolles of Utah another OT is also in the mix here 16 Baltimore Leonard Fournette RB, LSU Jamaal Lewis 2.0 17 Washington Derek Barnett DE, Tennessee A 3-4 end woo hoo 18 Tennessee Sidney Jones CB, Washington If his injury is too severe Quincy Wilson a CB, from Florida in this spot 19 Tampa Bay Taco Charlton - DE, Michigan Quick twitch edge rusher fills a Buc need 20 Denver Garrett Bolles OT Utah, Denver moves on from the Okung experiment 21 Detroit Hasson Reddick LB, Temple Recdick is what the new breed LB will look like inside on 1st and 2nd outside in nickle and dime[packages 22 Miami Gareon Conley CB, Ohio State A scheme fit i both zone and press type schemes 23 NY Giants Jarrad Davis, LB Florida Great pro day Butkus finalist finds a home on the strong side 24 Oakland Jabril Peppers S Michigan A replacement for Charles Woodson hybrid safety Nickle LB slot corner 25 Houston Mitchell Trubisky, QB, North Carolina This would be possibly different if a certain QB ends up on their roster Then again that certain QB would be a grewat bridge the next 2 seasons 26 Seattle Quincy Wilson CB, Florida Long tall CB a Seattle staple during the Carroll era 27 Kansas City Tre'Davious White - CB, LSU 4 year starter in the bayou deep speed may be a concern 28 Dallas Marlon Humphrey - CB, Alabama Run of CB's continues with Bama stud 29 Green Bay Kevin King CB, Washington Or possibly Adoree Jackson Pack will probably draft one or two more during this draft 30 Pittsburgh John Ross WR, Washington Steelers get a deep threat and KR 31`Atlanta Pat Elflein OG, Ohio State Falcons beef up their line with a buckeye 32 New Orleans Obi Melifonwu, S,Connecticut Possible trade down spot for someone who wants to jump the Browns for Watson

Word here is Adams over Hooker.....
Either way, its a huge need. Seems like a no brainer for the bears.....
They brought in Kizer for a private workout....just another sign they aren't picking a QB at #3, but maybe in the 2nd round.

So SS over FS in Chitown, hmm as you say tho' either way it's a need. Don't be surprised if they creep up to the end of the 1st if they are going QB,mainly cause A) the Browns and Niners ahead of them both need a QB, B) probably even more important there is a 5th year option on 1st rounders if the QB is a stud you are protected contract wise for a 5th season

True but Hooker has played what 50 games of football in his life. I believe his tackling skills will get better with the better coaching he'll receive as I've seen he's not scared of the contact and will get in their but his technique is rudimentary at best On Hooker He has the best ball skills of any safety I've ever evaluated in college- Daniel Jeremiah
On Adams outstanding range against the run, he makes a lot of plays from the opposite hash. He is a dynamic athlete, and I've been told his intangibles are off the charts-Daniel Jeremiah
I love the pro comps for them Hooker=Reed, Adams=Polamalu

If Martavius Bryant gets reinstated as expected, the Steelers aren't going WR in the 1st round.

Some random mock had the Cowboys taking a WR in the 1st. And that was after they signed TWill and Butler. Some of these fools just think too damn much.

Scariest player that could go to the Cowboys is John Ross. He would open everything up. Teams wouldn't be able to load the box against Zeke. And the Cowboys best receiving targets are otherwise possession guys like Dez and Witten. No way he drops to 28... at least I don't think he does. But yeah - he would be legitimate. Cowboys needs on defense are too much to ignore though.

14 Philadelphia Dalvin Cook - RB, Florida State I can also see a CB or WR go here. Eagles take Cook over Fournette as he is also a threat in the passing game Don't count out a defensive end either, especially with this draft. They still don't have the proper personnel since converting back to a 4-3. Any feelings about Mixon? Beck is convinced that's who your heroes should be going after. And - there is starting to be some "noise" that Cook's issues might be a bigger risk than Mixon.

If Martavius Bryant gets reinstated as expected, the Steelers aren't going WR in the 1st round. to have gotten a 1 year suspension you have to have failed 3 piss tests., You are 1 piss test away from a lifetime suspension (with a right of appeal after 2 seasons ) You cannot bank on him passing after failing 3 tests in 3 years. And it's best player available early best player at positions of need in later rounds

Steeler fans expect them to go DB or edge rusher in round 1 with TE an outside possibility.

Edge rushers, secondary, OL, and more edge rushers. I can see the Pokes taking a WR but not till day3 Maybe day 2 if there is someone out there they love 6that slides due tio the large amount of quality in this draft. You can see by all the mocks that there are about 15-20 sure things and the other 10-15 picks are varied per each mocksters preference The area from 20-50 is very close and in the eye of the beholder. You are going o see a lot of teams very happy with their 2nd day picks and making the boast that we had a 1st round grade on him and will be actually telling the truth

Not a lot of consensus #1 players at any position, yet tons of talent available, and the QBs are a giant crap shoot. Any feelings about Mixon? Beck is convinced that's who your heroes should be going after. And - there is starting to be some "noise" that Cook's issues might be a bigger risk than Mixon. I don't know a whole lot on either. But I would not be surprised to see them end up with the kid from Pitt. Philly has drafted both LeSean McCoy and Dion Lewis out of Pitt over the last decade. Only thing I have heard on Cook is he has a fumbling problem. If that's the case then I don't think he's worth a 1st. I'd have no problem with Joe Mixon. His issues are 2+ years in the past and nothing new for the NFL. But nothing tangible stated from Philly. Jeff Lurie was asked and basically said neither confirm nor deny on all players. Agree with all 3 posts Un which is why I was surprised EWA didn't like Ross to Steelers He would open up the underneath for Brown and Green or James and the box for Bell. And even when they have consensus on #1 they have none on 2-5. let alone 5-15

And based on the projections that this is a deep defensive draft, there is no reason to. Other than Free and Leary, they return last season's starting 11 on offense intact and Collins should be just fine at LG. Chaz Green is the wild card. Can he stay healthy... and was the improvement he showed after that God-Awful opening preseason game last year legitimate?

No way. I agree, he's the full meal deal I can see Njoku falling as he was basically a slot receiver at Miami and has never had to block. Engram I'd be scared of cause all 3 Ole Miss 1st rounders were duds their 1st season in the pros with two getting almost no game time at all and Tunsil playing better by years end albeit at LG not LT although he will be put on the island this season. That said outside of New Orleans or the Rams I can't see Njoku going before Engram. Yes he's also a glorified slot as well . But I like his route running better and his time at the combine (4.42) beat all but 4 WR's I'd put my over/under for 1st round TE's at 1.5 and for 2 rounds at 4

I really want the Packers to grab Joe Mixon in the 2nd round...but I think the Bears will grab Jonathan Allen first round. But, that's me. And besides the number 1 pick - any of the top 10 can be swapped. It's a weird draft.

Well it's all changed again if Romo stays retired, especially in the area preceding the Texans pick at 25 as they almost definitely will be taking a QB which forces the Chiefs Browns Jets and Niners to think of jumping the line to get at the front of the line

Since Ryan and Flacco came in and produced year 1 The teams ,and especially their fans have been expecting instant production, now that the spread has taken over the college ranks like a virus the QB's of today can process defenses far more in depth that previously, problem is they don't have the fundamentals (footwork throwing mechanics taking snaps and reading defenses from under center) to be successful and the only way to achieve that is reps which the CBA has negated. It's a catch-22. There is a bunch of talent here the thing is they have learned bad habits and now they have had they since junior high when they panic, and they will, they will revert back to the more comfortable way they always played which will not gring success often it's the Russell Wilson Dak likes that will put the time in doing those things that will improve them even though there will be no immediate gain by doing those type of drills but thru hard work and mental toughness will overcome those obstacles. That's something you can't see on tape or measure at combines and what makes the whole draft a crap shoot at best., Ther4e will be success stories from these 5 or so QB's but who knows who they are? Besides God, no one .

What "The Draft Narrative" (local guys I follow who are pretty damned thorough in their work) pointed out last year in their assessment of Dak was the fact that he was not "turnover-prone" in college. It's why they had him rated higher than the Cook/Hackenberg/Kessler mid-range group last year. In that respect, he compared favorably to Wilson when he came out. Not saying that's the significant bar along with the other "measurables" teams look at... but it definitely bears some observation.

I'm betting the Jets Niners and especially the Browns will be cursing Romo as they have made the middle of the draft even more unpredictable, forcing those teams to give up more picks to get high enough up to get the QB of their choice. Now one or all those teams might be looking at the start of next years great QB draft and passing OR by getting a redshirtting QB this year the extra picks they will get next season by trading down as they've already got their potential future of the franchise

Anyone that watched any of these QBs actually play in college knows that this class is probably only a hair better than the QB class from the EJ Manuel-Geno Smith year. Not a single NFL starter among them. If you need a QB this year and take one, you'll still need a QB

(I did get a chuckle out of your projection for Kiser...) yeah...Trubisky wont make it that far down....too many teams have a need. so even if he doesn't go high in the 1st round, the teams that passed on him might jump back up to the 1st round to grab him in the late teens or early 20s. Trubisky should be a 6th round pick as a project, as should every QB in this class. Maybe I could see someone reaching and taking one mid 5th round. Anything higher than that is a fucking atrocious pick
