Some solid FAs available, which ones would you like your team to sign? here's a pretty good list: profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2017/02/27/pfts-free-agent-hot-100/For me it starts with keeping some of our own specifically Hightower and Butler and even Sheard. Marty Bennett is probably gone so I wouldnt mind grabbing Cook and if Logan Ryan leaves, A.J. Bouye could be a nice replacement Pats seem to be hot and heavy on getting a "#1" WR, tried (allegedly)to trade for Hopkins and Cooks so maybe they look at Jeffrey or Pryor...I like Stills but he's asking for too much $$$. I dont really see WR as a pressing need but who am I to question to question Hoody? I could see them poaching Gilleslee from the Bills to take Blount's job and Calais Campbell could be our next rental pass rusher... Anyone out there you want your team to get? |

And there's no point in discussing FA's. Cowboys will not be in the market until after 6/1 and even then they will seek 2nd and 3rd tier FA's. When you are up against the cap, this is how you do business.

Seems most teams in "cap hell" are in much worse shape (see:Jets) I'm used to it. The Cowboys are annually up against the cap so chasing FA's just isn't something they do. And that isn't so bad really. Jets are guilty of this; It puts a premium on drafting. Fortunately, the Cowboys are finally drafting well. The downside of how they manage the cap is that they have 18 UFA's - and the ones they would like to keep (Church; Carr; Butler; Leary) will all be attractive to other teams at prices the Cowboys probably won't be able to meet. The upside is guys like T. Williams will get contracts the Cowboys aren't interested in competing with. And - it keeps them from signing doochebags like Greg Hardy again. |

you know you want the Jimmy! You mean Matt Cassell 2.0? Mallett was Casell 2.0 Jimmy G is a far better prospect, great quick release can make all the throws, not enough film on his resume though. Hoodie didn't draft him to trade him I believe that he was drafted to replace Tommy, thing is Tommy hasn't regressed yet. |

I think since Cooter has been OC, Matt has finally got it Note although Stafford was drafted 3 seasons before Russel Wilson they are the same age yet Wilson is thought of as young and Stafford isn't As a college football junkie who watched him a lot at UGA and a Detroit Lions fan, I can tell you that Stafford is probably the most overrated player in NFL history...maybe 2nd to Joe Namath, but at least he won something. The night before the Stafford draft(back when the draft was on the weekends) they announced that the Lions and Stafford agreed on a contract. I got blackout drunk and was sitting in the middle of the street yelling for a car to put me out of my misery. I haven't been proven wrong yet. As for Jim Bob as the OC...he's horrible. Tecmo Bowl has a more diverse playbook than him. Everyone got boners saying "Stafford has 8 or 9 come from behind wins this season" which was a fucking lie. They count Thanksgiving when Slay had an INT and then they took one play to center the ball and then kicked a FG to win, but attribute that as a Stafford come from behind victory. The day he is no longer a Lion will be the greatest day of my Lions fandom. So again, I wish for him and Ebron to die in a fire |
