yeah....forgot about Harper because of his off year....but yeah, put him in the OF and move Braun to the bench....with Arenado & Donaldson.......Russell & Kiermaier for IF & OF defense....

Team USA plays the DR tomorrow at 6:30EST. The lineup that then DR is rolling out is absurd! SS-Jose Reyes 3B-Manny Machado 2B-Robinson Cano DH-Adrian Beltre LF-Jose Bautista 1B-Carlos Santana RF-Nelson Cruz CF-Starling Marte/Gregory Polanco C-Welington Castillo I wish the US cared that much! How bout a lineup of:
CF Mike Trout 1B Joey Votto 3B Kris Bryant DH Anthony Rizzo SS Manny Machado LF Ryan Braun 2B Corey Seager RF Mookie Betts C Buster Posey
might suffer a little defensively moving seager to 2B and Machado to SS(but you can have Addison Russell on the bench for defense at both positions)......but with my rotation of Kershaw, Sale, Scherzer, Arietta and Lester....or Syndergaard..or Bumgarner...or Verlander..or Kluber.etc....I think USA will be OK.
Votto is Canadian and Machado is Dominican, but you are on the right track! I forgot Bumgarner and Kluber. Trout and Kershaw should be the co-captains! |

I mean the USA team could be better ... but its still pretty damn good. I understand pitchers not wanting to play, cant really knock them IMO plus...its a single elimination tourney and baseball isn't a single elimination sport. |
