Eddie Lacy agrees to terms with Seahawks
Posted by Josh Alper on March 14, 2017, 12:18 PM EDT The Seahawks had a meeting with running back Eddie Lacy over the weekend and it appears it went well. Lacy’s agents announced on Twitter that their client has agreed to terms with the Seahawks on a contract. There are no details about the terms of the deal. Lacy also met with the Vikings over the weekend and was still talking to the Packers about a return to the team that made him a second-round pick in 2013. Lacy ran for 2,317 yards in his first two seasons, but poor conditioning and an ankle injury led to less impressive results the last two years. He’ll join Thomas Rawls and C.J. Prosise in the running back mix in Seattle. It’s a group that looks promising if everyone’s healthy, but none of the three made it through a full season last year. Lacy was one of four running backs reportedly scheduled for meetings with the Seahawks with Adrian Peterson, Latavius Murray and Jamaal Charles slated to visit after Lacy. Peterson took his meeting while Murray and Charles were scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday, respectively. Murray has also visited with the Jaguars while the other two veterans haven’t been overwhelmed with interest on the open market. UPDATE 12:25 p.m. ET: Adam Schefter of ESPN reports it is a one-year deal worth $5.5 million with $3 million in guaranteed money. profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2017/03/14/eddie-lacy-agrees-to-terms-with-seahawks/

Just glad it wasn't AP.if he stays in shape and healthy it's a good move. I'm betting it's a 3M contract with 2.5 in performance and weight bonuses

2017 NFL Draft choices Round 2, Pick 3 (35) (From Jaguars) Malik McDowell DT 6'6" 295 Michigan St. 6.2 Pick Analysis: "This kid is gifted genetically. He played both inside and out, but he runs hot and cold. ... I've had an awful lot of coaches say if we can unlock the potential in this kid, we can have something special. Pete Carroll has always done a great job of taking these types of guys and getting the best." -- Mike Mayock
Round 2, Pick 26 (58) Ethan Pocic C 6'6" 310 LSU 5.7 Pick Analysis: "Great pick for them. They have not been the same since they lost Max Unger. ... He's smart. He gets up to that second level which you need at the center position. This is going to fortify them in the inside. Something they've needed since they lost Max Unger." -- Brian Billick
Round 3, Pick 26 (90) Shaquill Griffin DB 6'0" 194 Central Florida 5.6 Round 3, Pick 31 (95) (From Falcons) Delano Hill SS 6'1" 216 Michigan 5.4
Round 3, Pick 38 (102) (Compensatory Selection) Nazair Jones DT 6'5" 304 North Carolina 5.5 Pick Analysis: "I thought he fit best in a 3-4 scheme as what they call a five-technique, but he can play defensive tackle. He's got an ideal body type for that. Six-five, over 300 pounds, thought he did a nice job kind of getting in the way of a lot of passes. The only downside I felt with Naz Jones was he ran a little bit hot and cold. He could dominate games at times and then other times he'd disappear for long chunks of times." -- Mike Mayock
Round 3, Pick 42 (106) (Compensatory Selection) Amara Darboh WR 6'2" 214 Michigan 5.6 Pick Analysis: "He's got a combination of size and speed and he competes. I thought he struggled a little bit against quality press. They played Colorado and he had trouble getting off press coverage. When he had open access, he was fine. He's also a good special teams player. I think he'll have the ability to cover kicks and punts and he's a tough kid." -- Mike Mayock
Round 4, Pick 4 (111) (From 49ers through Bears) Tedric Thompson FS 6'0" 204 Colorado 5.6 Pick Analysis: Seattle continues to add depth to the Legion of Boom, which started to show some signs of regression last season. Thompson is a rangy, ball-hawking safety who should be a subpackage addition to a team that managed just 11 interceptions in '16. --Mark Dulgerian
Round 6, Pick 3 (187) (From Jaguars) Michael Tyson S 6'1" 204 Cincinnati 5.0 Pick Analysis: Tyson is a flex box safety who's right at home near the line of scrimmage, so he'll be a subpackage piece for Seattle. --Mark Dulgerian
Round 6, Pick 26 (210) Justin Senior OT 6'5" 331 Mississippi St. 5.0 Pick Analysis: Offensive line was a glaring need for Seattle entering the draft, so it's surprising that the Canada-native is just their 2nd draft addition to that unit. Senior isn't ready this season, but Seattle is thin at offensive line so they could end up calling his name sooner they'd like. --Mark Dulgerian
Round 7, Pick 8 (226) (From Panthers) David Moore WR 6'2" 225 East Central (OK) -- Pick Analysis: Moore will have a chance to earn a special teams job in camp. He's a size/speed receiver if he can earn a spot in the 'Hawks rotation. --Mark Dulgerian
Round 7, Pick 31 (249) (From Falcons) Christopher Carson RB 6'0" 218 Oklahoma St. 5.1 Pick Analysis: Seattle will love Carson's physicality as a banger between the tackles, but their backfield may be too crowded as it stands. --Mark Dulgerian

Or when O'Brien realizes Savage will never be and Watson ain't ready yet. There are so many scenarios where they can take advantage a 2 year contract you can add Washington if they don't get Cousins to resign. What if that was the best Goff had to offer in 2016?!?

Ironically they had traded away an offensive lineman to get Jimmy Graham. Don't remind me their O-line problems really started to get bad there when they let Unger go to the Saints

Don't remind me their O-line problems really started to get bad there when they let Unger go to the Saints Duane Brown to Seattle. Huge move. Not sure how Houston makes this trade with a star rookie QB on the field. I'm guessing Brown pissed off ownership too much with his criticism. Seahawks lockerroom will be a much better fit for him. Not yet sure what Seattle gave up to acquire Brown.

130 yards passing before he was injured 144 after, Lane better step it up Torn or ruptured? There's a big difference. A Rupture is a complete disconnect. A tear is a...tear. But there is still a connection, albeit a partial one. It's much easier to come back at 100% from a tear than it is from a rupture. I ruptured my right one. Put an end to a lot of my sports activities.
