Been fired twice in 24 months. His head coaching days are done. he could be the next john madden if he went the analyst role. he'd make a mint doing MNF. I don't know if he' be professional enough. We'd love him.........but I don't think he'd be overall that good. He'll be able to name his price if he wants to be a DC again. I really do think he could get another coaching gig if he take a year or two as DC. The Jets 100% would have been better with him as HC.........and the bills.......they were just under .500 with Rex, would have been .500 if they allowed him to coach and taylor to play the final game. The last time they had 2 consecutive years that "good"........2003-2004.

And somewhere Rex Ryan doesn't have a coaching gig. Been fired twice in 24 months. His head coaching days are done. He didnt deserve to be fired from Buffalo. The Jets, it was most certainly time to part ways. The guy can coach. But he'll never last long in any one place. His personality just wears on everyone. Give him a good offensive team, let him come in, fix the D and put it over the top.

they hired wade phillips as D coordinator. wade started coaching in the nfl 10 years before this kid was born lol I want to say smart hire based on the experience and reputation of Wade Phillips. But Wade is purely a 3-4 guy and LA's only strength is their four man front. It'd be retarded to blow that up. That'll be interesting. Donald will be pretty powerful in the guard/tackle gap. The thing about 3-4, 4-3........i think it's somewhat overrated now. I know it's how we still term these DCs, but so much of the game is in nickle and I think they should start categorizing these DCs based off of how they play nickle.

The most underrated Defensive mind of all time. Hes up there, just below the likes of Buddy and BB hes been good wherever he has gone, just not as a HC. Ownership fucked him in Buffalo. He had magic there with Flutie. They made him play Rob Fucking Johnson. Then he was at the mercy of the greatest choke of all... romo Id hire wade over most of this group of HCs

Also because he refused to bench tire rod Taylor even though that's what ownership wanted.

Well my take If theyre gonna fire you over not benching Tyrod Taylor for EJ Fucking Manuel.... you didnt stand much of anchance anyway. Rex made a huge mistake bringing Taylor in to begin with. Hes a backup. Some of these owners / gms / coaches are delusional about their chances of winning. Rex did about as good as one can with a Tyrod led team.

I'm not sure if they finished in the top 10 but for the balance of the season they were a top-10 offense. The problem was he made stupid decisions and the defense didn't hold its end of the bargain.

Lol dude. He was there for 2 years, trying to flip defensive personnel to his scheme. I get you dont like him. But like any other coach. They need time to get their plan working.

He took over a 9 and 7 team that hadn't been to the playoffs in 20 years and they got worse under him.
