Silver lining in this - whether it's Korea in 2 years (hope like hell not - the Olympics needs the NHL way more than the NHL needs the Olympics ) or the next WC of Hockey... there will be changes with Team USA. I read where Buttplug said Team North America was better than the 7th or 8th team in the tournament. I can name another one. I was reading where the IOC wasn't thrilled about the cost of the NHL players and I know the owners aren't thrilled about disrupting the season and risking injury to their players so why not just shake hands and go your separate ways? I read the same thing. That handshake would make me happy as hell. Make the Olympics a "Juniors" tournament and get the pros out of it. |

I don't say this often or easily , but i completely agree with Gary . If the crooked IOC expects the NHL to pause it's season and risk injury to it's athletes AND to pay the costs associated with that they can go fuck themselves . The World Juniors held on Olympic years during the Olympics would do just fine thanks. |
