Upon Careful Consideration and research of the Tuck Rule game It is very clear that Tom Brady should have been flagged for a 15 yard 'Kick in the Nuts' penalty on the LB who was attempting to recover the "incomplete Pass" try this on for size. "eli should thank mike carey" right consistent dirt? www.sportingnews.com/nfl/news/ex-ref-david-tyree-incredible-catch-patriots-super-bowl-42-almost-whistled-dea/1ak7epensoz6q1ouvmdvwjfgfpIt's one of the greatest plays in sports history — Eli Manning's pass in Super Bowl 42 that wide receiver David Tyree leaped and trapped against his helmet for the catch that sank the undefeated Patriots. And it almost never happened, according to Mike Carey, who refereed that game in 2008. Give Tyree credit for the sensational catch, and give props to Manning for escaping extreme pressure to get the pass off, but Carey deserves some credit, too, for rushing to get into position for a better view of Manning in the pocket. Carey, who retired after the 2013 season, recently told Tony Siragusa of Yahoo Sports that under normal circumstances, he would have blown the play dead when defenders grabbed Manning, who appeared ready to go down. But Carey, who normally stood several yards behind the quarterback to his front side, scrambled around behind Manning on that play. "For some reason, I don't know why, I ran all the way around (behind Manning)," Carey told Siragusa. "I just got lucky, and as I got there, they were pulling him back. Had I stayed (in front of Manning), I would have just seen him collapse into a pile. But I got a look in there, and I saw him free up, he launches it, and the rest is history."

Just as soon as we get the penalty on Charles Woodson's contacted the helmet. Was the NFL gay back then? I thought the girl rule was more recent. You have never been able to contact the qbs head. "Helmet to helmet" is different. "Player safety is gay" "In my day, the way we could tell if people were faggots is if they wore a facemask playing goalie"

JUST LIKE THE TUCK RULE check mate Tom Brady said he never heard of the rule, and was positive he fumbled

not many people knew about the obscure rule that was on the books in 2001 dirt. its why the call took forever. they ultimately got it correct per the NFL rule book. the call has been made about 75 times since then without issue. it just happened to be tom brady. now mike carey saying he nearly blew eli dead...thats not a rule, thats luck. a rule in a rule book >>> a refs field position. eli got extremely lucky that day according to the NFL ref who made that call.

Tom Brady fumbled and went on to win a Super Bowl because it wasn't ruled a fumbled
Eli Manning was not in the grasp, as stated by the Ref calling the game, and he was positioned correctly to make the correct call
Thank you for your time and patience

So the ref made the right call but got lucky I'm also confused simple concept mike carey, the ref who made that call, said normally he was in another position on the field where he would have normally blown the play dead (and it could have been the right call as well, its a judgement call like all grasp calls). he said he got out of position and it allowed him to make what he felt was the lucky right call. also, do not put mayonnaise in your toaster.

Sounds a lot like this to me:
"Giants were lucky the Ref wasn't out of position therefore making the incorrect call"
