That reasoning? Is pretty dumb. you should read the WEEI article mind opening for people who dont understand football, like you or british people I don't need to read anything on either side of this foolish argument. Brady has always been the same player, a one dimensional robot dependent on other facets of the offense working optimally to have any chance of success himself. Now he's just older. I do think your reaction, and the reaction of Boston fanboys across the web to a single article, is pretty hilarious though.

"British guys can't comment on NFL players. It's just too complicated a game to understand. Africans can't play QB. It's just too complicated a game to understand"

I do think your reaction, and the reaction of Boston fanboys across the web to a single article, is pretty hilarious though. my reaction with facts that have since forced this writer to offer a apology on radio? (did so on 98.5) all i did was point out the flaws in using completion % and "when facing a rush" as means to explain one bad 1/2 season (read the article to find out why 1/2 season) as signs of a dropoff...when not taking into account outside influences such as, a 21st ranked o-line. or this: Because of week-to-week game-planning, injuries and the emergence of some relatively surprising offensive faces (LeGarrette Blount, Julian Edelman), the Patriots used 14 different starting lineups in 2013, third most in the league.
or this: Ultimately, there were are a lot of reasons why the 2013 Patriots — who ended the year with ALMOST $28 MILLION worth of contracts on injured reserve — were able to overachieve over the course of the season.
thats not fan boy, thats analytics. and it ends with this: Ultimately, Brady doesn’t deserve a complete mulligan for the season — anyone who remains one of the highest-paid quarterbacks in the league knows that’s just life in the big city. But when it comes to the best thirtysomething quarterback of all time, you’ll need more than a substandard half-season to indicate that there is a real, marked decline in his play.

How often have you heard over the last several years the line or the receivers blamed for Brady's shittiness in a particular game? He's an atrocious athlete, and a sitting duck. He can take a drop and throw a football fairly accurately in rhythm. That's about it. I'll wait for all Jeter like intangibles he brings to the table argument.

No, that's fanboys making excuses. Angry fanboys too. I don't care if the guy's analysis has merit or not. Like I said, Brady is the same player now that he's always been...just older.

He doesn't have any superior skills that no one else has.

What I do know is that if Brady gets hurt early in the season, I'll be rooting like hell for the Garrapolo or whatever the fuck his name is led Pats just for the hilarity. Doubt that will be a universal emotion throughout this board or the continent of New England from the "real fans" though.

The numbers will dictate it. But what does he do? Other than like I said, take a drop and throw a ball to an open target in rhythm? What exceptional skill does he have that no one else has? There isn't one.

Hmmmm...I'd say he's still in the top 5. I'd have to put Rodgers #1 right now then Brady or Peyton, then Luck or Ben...if you had to win a game "right now"

Name 5 QBs who you would rather have than Tom Brady. There is no way Brady isn't in the Top 5.
