The AFC East draws 2 of the better divisions- the AFC North and NFC West- on the schedule this year. Tom Brady is suspended for the 4 four games, Rex is on the hot seat in Buffalo and there's a new regime (again) in Miami where they have high hopes to un- seat the Patriots atop the division. Fitz finally re upped with the Jets who too believe they can take the division.
Will the 4 game "head start" lead to another team winning the division or will the Pats once again be the division champ? Vote and discuss!

New England 11-5 Tough out of division sched for the AFC East (AFC North NFC West) although they get Seattle at home coming out of the bye plus Cincy and Baltimore at home as well . Until another team makes a giant leap it looks like the Patriots AFC East Title dynasty is ending no time soon. And to top it all off they get to give meaningful reps to heir apparent Jimmy Garoppolo. The comeback of O-line guru Dante Scarnecchia means the weakest position on their team is in great hands and their D has lots of playmakers
Miami Dolphins 7-9 This is just a hunch based on Gase's success with QB's so far, but their tough early sched has them at best 2-4 before getting to a soft part of their sched starting with their meeting the pretty well in the same boat Bills prior to their bye week and following the bye with Jets, at Chargers, at Rams, Niners, at Ravens before getting the Cards at home to start the back stretch If they run off a 5-1 or 4-2 off that middle stretch they could be in line for a wild card. I have questions though with their running game and their pass rushers although with great pedigrees are a little long in the tooth I expect they'll go into the final division games at 5-8 or 6-7 split with the Bills Jets and a loss in the finale to the Pats
NY Jets 6-10 Ryan Fitzpatrick morphs back into ... well Ryan Fitzpatrick the same one that couldn't keep his job with the Bengals Bills Titans and Texans;. There are a lot of good parts here a great D line solid secondary and receivers but their O line has eroded with age and upgrades have been few and far between. They could be in the running for a 1st round QB in 2017
Buffalo Bills 6-10 And it really ain't Rex;'s fault this is a team with woeful depth all along the roster. They will regret when he ever gets on the field drafting Lawson in the 1st round with so many other players there at positions of need. (which is just about everywhere). Taylor shows he has the chops to be a starting QB in a Dave Kreig/Jeff Hostetler type of way (he's okay but you wish you had better) This will be put on Whaley who after 4 seasons as GM should have better depth across the board

Bills LB corps has been decimated this off/pre season with 3 of the top 5 LB's out. First rounder Lawson for half a season and 2nd rounder Ragland and IK Enemkpali both out for the season. Going to be tough to replace them with the lack of depth on their roster

Bills cut Karlos Williams Posted by Michael David Smith on August 20, 2016, 2:05 PM EDT As a fifth-round draft pick last year, Bills running back Karlos Williams burst onto the scene with 517 rushing yards, a very impressive average of 5.6 yards a carry, and seven touchdowns. Ordinarily, a player with that kind of output as a rookie would feature prominently in a team’s future plans. Instead, the Bills have cut Williams. That comes as a surprise because Bills coach Rex Ryan said this month that the Bills wouldn’t give up on Williams. But perhaps it shouldn’t come as a surprise: Williams is suspended for the first four games of the season for violating the league’s substance-abuse policy, and he reportedly showed up to training camp out of shape. And running back is a position where the Bills are loaded, with LeSean McCoy, Reggie Bush, Mike Gillislee, James Wilder Jr. and Jonathan Williams on the depth chart. Williams is talented enough that some other team will surely give him a shot. He’d be wise to work harder in his new home than he has in Buffalo. profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2016/08/20/bills-cut-karlos-williams/

Buffalo Bills
The Bills will start the season 0-4.
Crazy? Consider that the Bills must play a tough opening-weekend game at Baltimore, then host the Jets on short rest, then play two of the final four teams from last season (the Cardinals and the Patriots), and 0-4 seems possible. Without Marcell Dareus, Reggie Ragland and Shaq Lawson, the Bills will have to find ways to plug holes on defense and avoid falling far behind early in the season. If they finish the first quarter of the season winless, coach Rex Ryan will need to dig out of a monumental hole to finish the season with a winning record and allow him to rest easy about his job security. -- Mike Rodak Miami Dolphins
Dolphins receiver DeVante Parker will notch his first 1,000-yard season of his career.
Parker has all the tools but must stay healthy for a full season, which has been an issue. Parker notched 445 receiving yards and three touchdowns in the final six games of 2015, which will provide confidence and momentum for this season. He is also Miami's best deep threat and will get the most opportunities to make big plays. -- James Walker New England Patriots

Bold fantasy football predictions for all 32 teams
Matthew Berry goes way out on a limb with a bold fantasy prediction for each NFL team for the 2016 season.
The Patriots will go 3-1 with Jimmy Garoppolo as their quarterback to open the season.
Some have said Garoppolo just needs to keep the team afloat, but I think he'll do a little better than that and help the team to a strong start. It might be a season-opening loss at Arizona, but home games against Miami, Houston and Buffalo are winnable, and Garoppolo has the tools to succeed. -- Mike Reiss New York Jets
The Jets will put three defensive linemen in the Pro Bowl -- Muhammad Wilkerson, Sheldon Richardson and Leonard Williams.
The former first-round picks are all healthy and they should thrive in the Jets' scheme, which uses multiple fronts. Wilkerson and Richardson already have Pro Bowls on the résumé (Richardson was an alternate in 2014) and Williams is poised for a breakthrough. -- Rich Cimini
