Apparently there still isn't an answer as to why the Pack cut all pro guard Josh Sitton....the beat guys don't know, his OLine teammates don't know.......its a mystery.
But I'm not complaining.....He drove down to Chicago and signed a 3 yr 21 mil contract with the bears immediately after he was cut....

Supposedly an offensive Guard/O-Lineman isn't supposed to question the head coach and offensive coordinator regarding the play calling publicly. Think that's what had to do with it.

Chicago is on the right track. Langford is young and they bailed on Forte at just the right time. Jeffrey is excellent but he has to stay on the field. The question here is can Cutler continue the consistency of last season without Adam Gase steadying the ship?

Texans 17, Bears 13 maybe.......(that's a bears cover)Texans have a good passrush against an OLine that should be improved, but Long hasnt played or practiced for 3 weeks, and Sitton is just getting here. The Bears OLine should be better in week 4 than it is now. It should be low scoring, hopefully a close game.
If they can squeak this one out they could finish above .500

I'm pretty optimistic as long as they stay(get) reasonably healthy.......Everyone I hear is predicting gloom and doom based on what they saw in pre season......which is just fucking silly. Predict gloom and doom if you don't like their roster or coaching staff. You cant judge shit on pre season, Fox is worse than most about not showing 1 damn thing in preseason. Their defense is light years better talent than last year(just by losing McClellin alone) Offense might be a wash losing Forte & Bennett but gaining healthy WRs.(except the OLine should be better)
Much better talent than last year, with the same good coaching...and if they didn't have Robbie Gould last year, the win 2 more games.....they solved that problem this year.
All the columnists and reporters think 6-10....Vegas o/u is 7.5.....im thinking 9-7

I have been burned too many times to be anything more than cautiously optimistic. I have been a Bears fan my whole life, and have been through my fair of shitty seasons. I am back to a point where I just want to beat Green Bay. I dont like being at that point, but its where I am. I dont base anything on the preseason, and watched virtually none of it. Maybe 3 minutes at the most. Not just the Bears, the entire preseason. It just isn't worth it. I agree the defense should be better, but I cant see the offense being better, or even equal, after losing Bennett and Forte. Those two guys were a huge portion of the offense last year, and after Marshall left, Bennet became Jay's security blanket. Jay needs a guy he can trust to go get a ball when he gets in trouble, cause his ego wont let him throw too many away.

what you have to realize the coaching in the NFL makes a difference...and drafting and developing talent makes a difference....
The bears had a competent coach in Lovie, but a shit GM in Angelo...followed by a complete shitshow in Trestman and Emery(and Trestmans staff) nowhere NEAR NFL caliber.
Now they have a good head coach by all accounts, who has hired good positional coaches and coordinators, and we will see on the GM. What it did last year was to take the worst talent in the NFL and make it a 6 win team(8 if Gould could kick a game winner from 35) The roster seems to be getting better, but it will take time to erase the shitshow.

Bennett was crying because Zach Miller was getting all the TDs.....Bennett caught 50 passes for 400+ yards Zach miller had the same amount of yards in about half the games as a starter. Bennett was a good run blocker, but he stopped doing that also when he started crying like a WR. Bennett wont be a big loss.
Forte might be.
But they were starting practice squad WRs last year when their top 4 WRs were out........Having Jeffrey, White & Royal should make up for the difference between Forte and Langford.

Beating Green bay last year was the only thing I took away from last year as a positive. If your season hinges on a couple kicks, and that is the difference between playoffs or bottom dwelling in the division, its not a good season. You thought last year was a good year? Lovie was just a culpable as Angelo was in my opinion. All he ever wanted to draft was DBs, defensive line, and WR. Our defense was really solid under Lovie, but the lack of ability to draft O line, and rely on picking up washed up free agent lineman was sickening. Trestman and Emery are responsible for taking us from a defensive perennial top 5, to last, and a consistently shit offense to a great one, for one year anyway. They flipped everything around, and fucked it to death. Fox is known as a solid coach. true. He seems to have a good group of coaches, sure. The defense will be better, ok. Dont tell me I have to get excited. Fox was fired for not getting the job done with what many would have considered an elite Denver team. Broncos won it last year without him, and it would be easy to argue that they weren't nearly as good, especially from an offensive standpoint. So forgive me for my cautious optimism, its going to be around, until I see something get done. I'm not a blind fanboy who rallies around hopes and dreams, and I am not going to expect anything grand to happen. If it does, great, if not, you wont see me freaking out either.

This is why I dont like Bears fans, that had nothing to do with my point. My point was, not that he was great, or that he was crucial to the team, but that he was the guy that Jay would force a ball into when coverage was tight, and he would fucking catch it. Jay needs a guy like that in the middle. Used to be Earl Bennett. Hopefully one of the other guys emerges, that can be that guy in the middle of field for him. Alshon is a beast, but he isnt the guy working the middle of the field. You seem like the type who gets all hyped up every year, and then gets pissed when they dont deliver. I am not.

Well that obviously didn't happen but they are a lot closer to it than there record indicates Best move Keeping the coaching staff intact these guys have been winners with sound strategies but the depth of the roster was bare Worst moveAlston Jeffries saying the Bears will win the Super Bowl in 2017. Alston you do realize the Super Bowl is in just over a month and you aren't in the playoffs Don't be surprised if the Bears have another great draft, 3 stud starters last season Floyd Howard and Whitehair and a few starts from S Bush Team needs With Cutler probably being released a new QB of the future a few more O-linemen and secondary help. Are they in the market for Garoppolo or McCarron. With all the holes that still need to be filled I kinda doubt it but wouldn't surprise after all it is the most important position
