Awesome video, welcome to the So You Think You Can Dance generation. My Daughter saw Muse in Edmonton a few years back - said it was incredible I've managed to largely ignore them for years, only recently taking the time to really listen to and come to enjoy them.

Another band I'd heard of and ignored until recently - except only for 6 yrs, not 20, as in the case of Muse - is Awolnation.

At the latest Fishing/golfing/drinking (not neccessarily in that order) trip with the Lads i played a whole slew of Izzy Stradlin and the Ju Ju Hounds songs for us . That guy should have done another album.

That guy should have done another album. Stradlin has made more music than the Ju Ju Hounds album. Straight to Itunes releases (in other words he does not give a shit about making money or touring)

He actually has a pretty decent singing voice. Should have been featured more in GnR. Also, who knew Howard Stern could jam like that?

Also, I do not recommend Song Pop, unless of course you can afford to lose entire blocks of time for several weeks. Highly addictive.

So... I am constantly looking for an equalizer app for my iPhone/iPad for my playlists. Have over 9,000 songs on my devices but iTunes generic app sucks when it comes to playback. Everything is flat... everything sounds muffled... piss poor application for the product. I've tried (and paid for) several apps with varying degrees of quality. I can tolerate poor UI features as long as the end products - sound and the ability to adequately shuffle music - are met. Most fall way short. Today - I found one worth your $2.99. It's simply called "Equalizer". Up front - the UI on it needs work. It involves time investment to find everything and even then it's cumbersome. It took me awhile to find all the stuff I look for... and some of the features still require some additional "learnin' curve" effort. But - the sound shaping capabilities are stellar. Unlike some apps that only reach into the 16Khz zone and just die, this one seems to have a little extra that brings the upper sound regions to life in a way that sounds crisp without sounding tinny... while keeping the mid-range frequencies sounding correct (it's amazing to me how many apps miss the mark on that one). Bass is clean but has oomph. Gets the bells and whistles of album covers (I'm a dick when it comes to having all my music with the original album art - I will find it and add it if it isn't there or is wrong) and a good preamp adjustment tool. Here's the one piece it has that I haven't ever found in these other apps... fucking crossfade!!! I HATE gaps in music. And until now, I've never had the ability to mesh my music seamlessly. It's adjustable... I set mine to 6 seconds and everything flows nicely. Had the bluetooth connected to my home surround sound and the damn thing sounded as good as you can expect from a device like an Android or iOS product. Had my jam song list (Gov't Mule; Little Feat; Rush; ARS; Bobby Plant; Floyd; Alan Parsons, etc.) going for a couple of hours this afternoon. All I needed was a joint! For anyone looking for something to enhance your iOS products... this is worth the small investment. I can't give it a big enough "Thumbs up". Otis sez - check it out. Equalizer - iTunes Link
