2-1 - another OT looming? Nope. 3-1 with 2 to go.

They have won three Cups never at home. Good luck my friend. I'll be rooting for them. Still haven't totally got over the Pens winning games 6 and 7 v my Wings in 2009 (including game 7 at Joe Louis Arena...no amount of liquor could hold me down that night. I was upset that they even had to play a game seven and told all my friends that they would not win. I hated to have that sentiment, but have you ever had that feeling of impending doom and then had it play out? I did all day that day...). But the Pens are a great team, and as much as I still dislike Crosby, he is an all time superstar player. I really like the role players and the spirit and spunk they show. A lot of the credit for that goes to Crosby because he sets the tone as the leader.

I was stunned when Fluery made the save and batted the puck to the corner. I can't imagine how tough that was on a Wings fan.

I would have probably done some violence to my TV if game 7 ended the way it did only with Detroit winning. I was trying to empathize with you guys. If you have a problem wid dat, bring it on.

A day that I will never forget, unfortunately for me. Just earlier that afternoon, I was mowing my lawn and a Comcast installer put a cable across my yard that led to the neighbor's house. Somehow as much as I tried to avoid it, I hit it. I went to tell them I accidentally hit it and nobody was home. Two hours later I had the police knocking at my door. The police! They accused me of deliberately hitting the cable. I told them, and the scowling neighbor that was ridiculous and asked the bitchy neighbor why she didn't at least come and talk to me about it before wasting the time of the police. If anything it was Comcast's fault, the thing was in my yard and should have been buried. I was asked to visit my best friend's house to watch game seven. I told him I would start to, at least...but that I was not confident at all in their chances and that I'd leave if I wasn't comfortable with how the game progressed. He said "nonsense", the Wings were going to roll over the Penguins. I left after the second period and rushed back home. I watched the end of the game and was grimacing through the handshakes and Cup presentation when I get a knock on the door. It was the whiny neighbor's snotty little teenage daughter bitching at me because I caused her to miss some idiot show, "The Bachelor" or some crap. She has no idea how fortunate she was that I did not slap her little ass right off my stoop. Five shots of Jim Beam later and I was out and done for the night.

Pens let a lot of fans down. Shot outside the Console Center before the game. It looked like that through the whole game. At least until the last minute and a half. The Jumbotron that they were watching is at the bottom right of the photo.

Words rarely spoken... "Kessel in on the Forecheck..." Been spoken a lot since he got to the Burgh or at least since Sullivan took over.

2-0 Sharks. Murray sucking dick. That cost them the game. Still I thought the Penguins were going to steamroll them after the second period got going. 45-22 in shots. They threw everything but the kitchen sink at Jones. One of the best jobs I have seen in goal in a long time. So, burgh...do you dare to wish the Pens lose in SJ so that they may win on home ice?

A great gentleman, a great father and a man known as "Mr. Hockey" passed away this morning.
Gordie Howe was 88 years old. Anyone on here is not surprised that he lasted this long given the fact that he not only played professional hockey with his two sons at age 50, but was the best player in the league while he was doing so.
He staved off the final buzzer with many "Gordie Howe Hat Tricks" over the last two or three years.
RIP and God Bless You.

I remember vividly in 1999 "fans" saying they hoped the Stars would lose Game 6 in Buffalo and win it at home. Screw that!

No way. They need to put them away now. I've got visions of the 2009 Cup finals playing in my head, but this time the Pens are playing the role of the Red Wings.
