I understand that Lundqvist is being examined by an eye specialist. Vigneault said he didn't think it was serious. Off course he wouldn't he's not the one who got poked in the eye. Judge for yourself if its serious or not.

All they're saying is that he's feeling better and they're being cautious. I think he's still experiencing some slight concussion symptoms, and they don't want to put him in too soon. This is his second concussion this year so they have to be a little more careful. I haven't heard a word on Murray, but if he came back I'd let Fluery sit until next year. |

What's the status with Fluery? They're saving him for Game 8. From what I heard the conversation with him before the last game went something like: Trainer: Marc, how are you feeling? MAF: Tuesday! Trainer: What's your name? MAF: Detroit! So they decided to play it safe with him. |

The Pens/Rags game was fantastic. End to end, wide open hockey. I was enjoying the game even when the Pens were down. I gotta admit it got a lot better when Cullen beat Lundqvist, but it was a good game regardless.

There is some outrage over Letang high sticking Stalberg. Looked deliberate to me and I was surprised that he didn't get called for it. They were letting a lot go last night and both sides started taking liberties. The League said they aren't going to punish him either because they thought it was an accident. Whatever.

Pens laid the smack down on the Ranger's candy arse. 5 - 0 Geno had two, really nice goal beating Lundqvist short side by Sheary on a breakaway. Murray was excellent, and a little lucky too. Couple pucks hopped over the Ranger's sticks and it could have been different. Lundqvist ended up getting pulled. Seemed like he was fighting the puck the whole night. Not sure if it had to do with the poke in the eye, or if it was just one of those nights. Pens looking to close it out at home on Saturday, but they were up 3 games to 1 against the Rags last year too so you never know. In the mean time Murray gets his first career playoff shut out and his second career playoff win. Career playoff GAA of .5
