Apparently Hummers and guns do not mix well. Sad story. I am guessing the shooter is known by the local LE. Just very weird the whole thing. |

The shooter collected 4 or 5 mil (differing stories) when the NOPD shot and killed his dad a few years ago. Smith had just had dinner with one of the cops that killed him. So this might not be just a random shooting. |

This is such a tragedy. I feel so sad for his family. I hope his killer gets the death penalty.

Okay. Did he have a permit? Why is this a story? Apparently Pierre Thomas was there and saw it happen. This whole situation is fucked up This excerpt from the story I found more interesting Video surveillance showed a car
matching the description of the Mercedes SUV that Smith drove that
night apparently rear-ending the Hummer that matches the description of
the car Hayes was driving. The Mercedes SUV drove off when the Hummer
pulled over. There was another accident two blocks away, when Hayes' car
allegedly hit Smith's car. Moments later Smith was shot and killed.
So Smith's car hit Hayes and left, and Hayes chased Smith's vehicle rammed it. Seems like this story has more twist and turns to it

yeah Hayes "brake checked" (stopped abruptly)Smith and Smith hit him and took off. Maybe he was drunk? The vid I posted shows there were quite a few witnesses so more details should be coming out. |

It appears there is more to this story than a road rage murder. But no one should be shot over a traffic accident/incident
