Vince Wilfork is staying put after all. After reportedly asking to be released by the Patriots, the 10-year veteran nose tackle has reportedly agreed to a new three-year, $22.5 million deal, according to ESPN. NFL Network reports that there is $3 million guaranteed. Wilfork also took to Twitter as the news broke to express his desire to stay with New England: "It's been hard to remain quiet and let things take its[sic] course but it has been the best thing to do. Negotiations are never easy especially when you have a 10 year history with a team and more importantly relationships. For those who have supported me thank you, for those who have called me every name in the book I thank you too. My intentions have never changed 10 years ago my goal was to retire a patriots and as I sit here typing this I am closer to achieving my goal. I look forward to getting back to football an helping my team compete and have a chance at winning a Super Bowl." www.csnne.com/blog/patriots-talk/report-wilfork-agrees-3-year-225m-restructured-dealOnly 3 mil guaranteed. A little surprising he gave up that much but I like it

Pats will be a very good team again this coming year. Willfork is a good signing, no doubt.

Happy to have him back. Wouldn't have been a killer to lose him, but I'd just as soon have Vince finish his career here...
