With RGIII set to become a Brown today, that figures to make Josh McCown available in a trade. Jets, Broncos, Rams still with QB questions.

And now the Browns say they have signed QB Robert Griffin III. It's going to be a 2-year deal.

Gonna be tough for whoever the QB is do do anything any time soon. I'm surprised there wasnt more interest him I guess.

agreed. I thought the Jets might have taken a shot on him. He wouldn't have done much better with the Jets either. The media would have been all over him too. Granted I am sure Cleveland media is going to try and get under his skin as well.

True the media is worse but at least he'd have some weapons

Word was he didn't put in the time to get better spending far more time trying to look better in the weight room than get better in the film room. Was this partly created by the entitlement from the fans and the owner. I would think so. The big question has he been humbled enough to realize that the only way to get better is to apply himself to get better, to be the best he can be. There was a reason Tom Brady lasted until the 199th pick. But they under estimated his will to be the best and his willingness to put in the time to maximize the skill set he possessed. That is why the draft can be such a crap shoot. You can measure speed, height, weight but you can't measure the will and determination of the player

Oh well at least he's getting another shot.

Yeah, I'd trust RG3 more than jaMAkiss....I actually think it's a good move by the Browns.
I always feel you build the team, then find the QB. There is no need for them to make a huge move for a QB.....it's a perfect low risk/high reward type play.
I doubt it will work out......but at least they don't lose anything if/when it fails.

Hey jets12... RG3 to the Browns? didn't see that happening, did you? Did not. Too smart of a move for the browns.......I thought for sure they'd trade for Colin and waste picks/money on him. I don't know if this will work, odds are it will not......but I like the move; nothing to lose everything to gain. Plus....reunites Gordon (if he plays) with RG3.

I agree, it does look like a good move for the Browns.
Will the Browns let RG3 play HIS style of football?
Or will they make him a pocket passer type of QB?
I think RG3 will have to play his style of football to be successful and the Browns will have to be a run first team. IMO

OK, but they should draft Wentz regardless. For obvious reasons . He may be best long term answer, RG is cheap to unload in a year. the browns let their best players go in FA and no position player would make any difference for them right now AND I bet some teams would pay a big big price to trade for him in this draft. teams that are laying in the weeds hoping he falls to them. You bet I think he will be twice the QB goff ever will. The better the competition, the worse Goff played. nothing wrong with 2 qBs on the browns, with that oL they may need ten.
