The Patriots have rehired Dante Scarnecchia as their offensive line coach, according to Adam Caplan of ESPN. Scarnecchia retired as the offensive line coach following the 2013 season to make way for Dave DeGuglielmo. However, it was revealed soon after the end of the 2015 season that DeGuglielmo’s contract was not picked up for 2016. (DeGuglielmo recently landed a new job with the Chargers.) It marks a homecoming for Scarnecchia, who spent 32 seasons in the NFL, including 30 with the Patriots, before he stepped away two years ago. In his absence, Scarnecchia did stay connected to the Patriots in a limited fashion over the last two years, primarily while working as a pre-draft talent evaluator. itiswhatitis.weei.com/sports/newengland/football/patriots/2016/02/16/report-dante-scarnecchia-re-hired-as-patriots-offensive-line-coach/
