Posted by Mike Florio on January 12, 2016, 7:06 PM EST The NFL’s owners are working hard to resolve the L.A. situation, by allowing both the Rams and Chargers to move there. Per multiple reports, it appears that Inglewood will prevail over Carson as the location of the new L.A.-area stadium. The Chargers want to play at a stadium to be built in Carson, but the Rams want to proceed in Inglewood. Sam Farmer of the Los Angeles Times has reported that the Inglewood proposal regarding the Rams plus another team eventually got 20 of the 24 required votes to move; the Carson proposal managed far fewer. It was believed the Chargers would consider mobilizing nine votes to block Inglewood, and then to stay in San Diego for at least a year. While that would have forced the Rams back to St. Louis (awkward), it also would have opened the door for San Diego to put together a viable proposal that could have eventually prompted the owners to not authorize a move by the Chargers in the future. The league’s apparent desire to get the L.A. situation resolved apparently will trump any last-minute gamesmanship by the Chargers aimed at blowing up the Inglewood deal and putting the Chargers and Rams together in Carson. If the Chargers and Rams will indeed be partnering up, the Raiders must be placated financially, given their pre-existing deal to collaborate with the Chargers in Carson. A large pile of cash aimed at helping the Raiders build a new stadium, presumably in Oakland, likely will do just the trick. profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2016/01/12/chargers-rams-to-inglewood-closer-to-reality/

Does anyone actually think the fine folks in San Diego will finally step up to the plate with a legitimate stadium proposal?
I don't.
