Sorry Rocko All of NY is smiling today the irony is that rock and I are probably happier about the Rangers winning then you are. Truth...got 3 diehard bruins fans here. "thank fucking god" was the collective reaction to the Rangers winning that series...they just don't get it... In the NHL and NBA? NY is an afterthought...

first thing dan, our head engineer, said to me today was "thank god the canadiens lost" thats all local radio is saying too, dirt we'd have had to suffer thru mtl steam rolling the bruins on their way to a cup final? no thanks 1994 was a long time ago, nice to see an original 6 with a shot at it no hawks, no canadiens...win win I'll never believe you Thank you Say Hi to Dan Life according to Rock
"people in NYC DON'T Give two shits about the Rangers or Hockey! FACT"
but, the life long hatred for the Hockey Team from Montreal (the rivalry we just heard of on here two weeks ago) is so ingrained that "Dan from engineering said first thing to Rock was "thank god the Canadians are out, Go Rangers""
We Believe you Rock...but until I know what Gretchen in shipping has to say, I don't care!

also for me at least if the Miami Heat and the New York Knicks happened to meet in the playoffs? I would be rooting for the Knicks all day everyday. Why cant I believe you and World, and many others, and just not believe Rock? I mean, is it news to you guys that he has a special hatred for the City of New York, far outside the realm of sports, that you guys dont have, and that its virtually impossible for us to believe he would be happy about anything good that happens in NY? You know when Rock first mentioned he wanted the Rangers to win? After they won the first 2 in Montreal You figure it out because I think it's just a case of you not understanding that we feel about the Montreal Canadiens the same way we feel about the Yankees.

MD, what was the deal with subban? he looked hurt...getting blown by The announcers kept saying how tired he was. I'm pretty sure he played over 30 minutes last night But he is a turnover machine and terrible skater. I know he's got a hell of a shot, but he did not impress me at all. The Rangers are an extremely fast team though, they were winning every race to the puck. They would just dump it in and go take it from them. He is the reason the Habs beat the Bruins... So by default, thank him for your Rangers being in the Finals... Bruins would have walked right through the Rangers...

Subban is overrated "Watch out for the upset, the Rangers aren't tough enough" - against Philly "Penguins will sweep, too much Talent" "Montreal is the deeper team, they'll win" I'm fine with everyone under estimating this team

But he was an absolute beast against us.the Penguins are soft and the Flyers are terrible. The only chance the Rangers would have had against the Bruins was for Henrik Lundqvist to play like Dominik Hasek for a full series. Much the way Montreal was a bad matchup for Boston Boston is a terrible matchup for the Rangers.

Outside of emotion in that series, the Bruins are better in every aspect The Rangers are just as deep, better defense and goalie (this compared to montreal).

Let me break it down for you... to start Tuukka Rask far and away struggles more with Montreal than any other team in hockey. Take a look at his numbers vs Montreal is his career. He has been awful, consistently... second of all the Bruins are not a fast team. They play a big heavy defensive game. They do not have a ton of skilled offensive players. Montreal unquestionably has the speed and skill advantage in that series. Third of all the Canadians play a dirty antagonistic style of hockey. They are really really good at goading the Bruins into doing stupid things and taking stupid penalties... then they murder the Bruins on the power play. Tuukka Rask true to his form played a bad series. The Bruins got their asses handed to them on special teams.and they took a ton of dumb penalties. Look no further than the opening penalty in the first few minutes of game 7 where brad marchand snowed carey price and immediately put montreal on the power play. just take a look at the past few years of history between the two teams. Montreal is about the worst possible matchup in the east for the Bruins.

Sooooo. The NY Rangers are finding it a little more difficult to beat a team with their starting goalie healthy.
Probably should have someone "accidentally" skate into Quick tonight.

Are the Red Wings better off in the Eastern Conference or not?
I'd say yes, but they are a team that appears to be in decline regardless.
That said, they still have 20-something straight playoff appearances.
Looking forward to 2014-15.
I think...
