st louis was a different player at UVM than he was at 25 or 35. arnold is the least talented to me, of the 3. i see gaudreau, i see st louis. marty was just like gaudreau in college too...NHL, he had to change his game. st louis was unprepared as a flame...took going to tampa in a different role/system for him to scratch his potential. He was in Calgary for what, one season? They're different style players. Also, Gaudreau's 5'7" listed height is very generous. Rock-like "Shaq and Manute Bol are the same style of player because they're both really tall." crossed over 2 seasons i watched marty play live in college and in the pros. i saw his game change. my eyes. thats all. |

Gaudreau is way too small and slight to be anything like St. Louis. Rock-like "Darko Milicic is the nest Dirk Nowitski because they're both tall white guys from Europe." |

Rock-like "Darko Milicic is the nest Dirk Nowitski because they're both tall white guys from Europe." youre the one who brought up height, not me...please be accurate, this isnt CBS. i simply said i see martin st louis all over again...you assumed i meant height. st louis was the same player at UVM. i know. i scrimmaged him and timmy thomas. i didnt get to play, but did sit on my bench do us a favor...go look at both guys college numbers. marty flat out dominated the ECAC (player of the year in like 95 or 96), like gaudreau did. problem he has was his height then was seen as a liability...different era. he was left off of jr teams becasue of his height. that doesnt happen anymore. calgary tried to make him into somehting he wasnt. height now is less of a concern (still a small one, but less an issue), due mostly to guys like marty. marty went undrafted...guess why? |

He'll be fine once the turmoil settles and he gets a NHL caliber regular partner. How you been? I think SF left unfortunately. |
