Cowboys announce retirement of Josh BrentPosted by Michael David Smith on May 8, 2015, 12:23 PM EDT AP Josh Brent, the Cowboys defensive lineman who was found guilty of intoxication manslaughter in the 2012 death of teammate Jerry Brown, has retired. The Cowboys announced today that Brent has been placed on the reserve/retired list. This is the second time that Brent has retired. He also announced his retirement in 2013, while he was in the midst of facing charges in Brown’s death. Brent later came out of retirement and returned to the field after serving an NFL-mandated suspension. Brent missed the end of 2012 after the crash that killed Brown, missed all of 2013 after his first retirement and played in only one game last year because of a suspension followed by a calf injury. He apparently is now done playing for good. I have nothing.

Thing about him... at the very best, he was an average talent before he killed his good friend. Never really did much to merit any mention at all here on the field.
Hell of a legacy.

I'd have thought more of a Dany Heatley wannabe.

I'd have thought more of a Dany Heatley wannabe. Yeah, I don't get the Brett Favre reference in this case???
