Just for the fun of it...
... and bragging rights.
The Masters starts next week so before we start making hockey playoff picks, let's have fun with trying to guess who'll win the Masters. Same rules as always, try to pick the champion and winning score (Par of 288). I'll allow for people to select the same player more than once, using the score guess as a tie-breaker, first come, first serve.
A few notes to help you along the way
- Only three players successfully defended their Masters title: Nicklaus in 1966, Faldo in 1990 and Woods in 2002.
- Only three players won the Masters on their first try: Horton Smith in 1934 (the very fist one of course), Gene Sarazen in 1935 (the second one), Fuzzy Zoeller in 1979. (the current field has 20 first-time participants)
- No player has ever won the par-3 event on Wednesday then the Masters over the weekend.
Send your picks by midnight next Wednesday. I'll check here or accept picks sent by email.
Good luck!

Dang...and I wanted to play but didn't see this in time.
I'm kinda busy right now so don't have time, but I'll try to post who I would have selected later...probably Sunday pm...going to be a busy weekend since I just got released by the doctor on Monday. Gotta catchup...I'll post then, promise.

No pain whatsoever, but they wouldn't let me lift anything heavier than a milkjug for a coupla weeks, then a 20lb limit until last Monday. Doctor said I was good to go, just don't do any heavy weight lifting...just looked at him and said "with this body? You think I lift weights?" He just laughed.

Rory plays the first 27 3 over.
Plays the last 45 -14.
Wouldn't it be cool as hell to have 10-15 years of Rory versus Jordan?

For the last 6+ years, I've been reading about this kid from Dallas Jesuit who was winning everything he entered. You never know how those things are going to turn out... but it sure seemed as if I were reading about a future star in the game.
Kids - the Jordan Speith era has begun.
