Oher and Martin as your bookends This is not going to go good Didn't Oher move to RT? Regardless, I doubt they picked up Martin to be a starter. The LT retired and they are trying Oher there 1st Martin is one play from being the starter

What a lousy system. Just drop the compensatory picks as it is now or come up with something better. That would not be hard. Just because some team does not want to pay or over pay for a guy they had? B.S. Hey, you want to take a pick from a team that goes big in FA then fine, but why do all the other teams get penalized in a way? teams that nothing to do possibly with any of it.

So the Pats got a 3rd for Revis and a 7th for Big Vince (gonna miss that dude )? Is that how it works?

So the Pats got a 3rd for Revis and a 7th for Big Vince (gonna miss that dude )? Is that how it works? No, the compensation picks you get this year are for free agents you lost last year. What you get for Revis and Wilfork will depend on how they perform with their new teams + how many free agents you sign this year compared to how many you lost + super-convoluted NFL top secret formula = next year's comp picks.

Matt Schaub signs with Ravens Best holder in the game.

The FA signings have been reduced to a trickle as opposed to previous seasons cause after June 1, unrestricted free agents signed by other teams didn't count toward the compensatory draft-pick formula. Starting this year, that date will move from June 1 to May 12, according to the NFL
The shift gives free agents more of an opportunity to participate in the offseason program. It also gives teams reason to wait on adding some of the currently available free agents, in order to avoid reducing their potential haul of compensatory picks
Today’s addition of quarterback Matt Schaub doesn’t change that. Because he was cut by the Raiders, Schaub’s addition neither helps the Raiders nor hurts the Ravens when it comes to determining compensatory selections.

King was the holder his rookie year, and Jano had maybe his worst year ever. Schaub took over for him last year a couple games into the season. Schaub made $5.5 million last year, had to put him to use somehow. (Certainly not as a QB because he sucks at that)

Saw the Ridley thing.
So Romo has restructured?
Still don't see an AP trade. I think they just have to find a way to pay for what they already have...

Hardy has a funny incentive based contract, they just signed McLain, they have draft picks to work out? Just can't see them affording AP.

Let's the Raiders move on from a player quickly if he doesn't work out. Of course, most teams don't have the massive cap space we have every single year.
