how long should Pincheater be suspended? I've always thought pitchers should be suspended a number of starts, not days. But it might actually help the yankees if he can't pitch for several starts; apparently he can't throw unless he's using some substance. Bust... |

how long should Pincheater be suspended? 10 games, according to the rulebook. And the discussion is already wornout in my opinion. Rock and his minions are continuing to make a big deal out of it because they want to detract from the fact that the Red Sox have lost four of their first six games againt the Yankees. |

But it might actually help the yankees if he can't pitch for several starts; apparently he can't throw unless he's using some substance. Bust... I'm guessing he's on an IP limit anyway. That number is probably around 170, which he would achieve in 29-30 starts. So it doesn't really matter if he misses two starts. He can also appeal his suspension until the Yankees reach a weak point in their schedule. So, the suspension won't matter in the long run and may actually be beneficial. |

That thread started at CBS about five years ago when Jeter was still about 200th on the all time strikeout list. Self has done a good job of nuturing it and preserving it and the thread now exists on three different message boards. |
