Useless stats part 1 Since the 1970 merger, teams with the #1 scoring defense that appear in the Super Bowl are 13-3 and have won 7 of the last 8 times. The 2013 Seahawks were one of those 7 recent Super Bowl winners. Useless stats part 2 Pick six Twelve teams have returned an interception for a touchdown in a Super Bowl. Those teams are 12-0 when they bring a pick all the way back for six, with the most recent coming from Super Bowl XLVIII MVP Malcolm Smith. The 2002 Tampa Bay Buccaneers are the only team to bring multiple INTs to the house in a Super Bowl, returning three Rich Gannon throws for scores in Super Bowl XXXVII. Useless stats part 3 Heads or tails The winner of the Super Bowl coin toss has a 24-24 record in the Super Bowl. Four of the last five winners of the coin toss have gone on to win the Super Bowl, including the 2013 Seahawks.

The Pats last 5 SBs have all been decided by 4 points or less, 4 of them by 3points. Most of those had fairly big point spreads too while this one is about a pick last I checked
my prediction: 2 years off my life span

I'll take the over for 100K I should have said 2 "more"... You probably lost 10 with your last game. That was just nuts Funnily enough I was fine cause on the 1st 2 turnovers they held them to FG's and as the game went i was just hoping they'd stay close till the 4th but I was resigned to the fact when the 4th INT happened that time was against them then after that It seemed nothing could go wrong

NTON, Wash. -- Seattle Seahawks starting nickel cornerback Jeremy Lane paused for a moment Thursday when asked what makes New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski so good, because Lane disagrees. Seahawks cornerback Jeremy Lane said he doesn't think Patriots three-time All-Pro tight end Rob Gronkowski is that good. "I actually don't think he's that good," Lane said. "He's OK. He does have a big body. But from what I've seen on tape, he doesn't like you putting your hands on him. So if we put our hands on him and shake him up a little bit, he won't catch that many balls." Gronkowski (6-foot-6, 265 pounds) is a three-time All-Pro selection, including this season when he caught 82 passes for 1,124 yards and 12 touchdowns. But Lane said the key to stopping Gronkowski is hitting him at the line of scrimmage. "Yeah, but that's always our key every week, putting our hands on the receivers," Lane said. "It's definitely an issue with him from watching tape." The Patriots often line up Gronkowski in the slot, which means Lane could be lined up against him. "I'm good no matter who's lined up there," Lane said. "But [the Patriots] try to do things like line a bunch of ineligible guys out there to get you confused. We have a plan for it." Lane said his main plan for the Super Bowl is the same as any other game, as far as coverage goes. "Most of the time, if you look at the quarterback throw it, you'll look at the receiver catch the ball," Lane said. "[Seahawks defensive backs] coach [Kris Richard] always reminds us of that. Keep your eyes on your luggage. That's what we call it. Keeps your eyes on your man and everything else will take care of itself." espn.go.com/nfl/playoffs/2014/story/_/id/12213078/seattle-seahawks-cb-jeremy-lane-says-new-england-patriots-te-rob-gronkowski-good

If Gronk wasn't motivated to kick some tail, he definitely will be now. I look for the big guy to have a field day and we'll see what Mr. Lane has to say after the game.

I want to see Jeremy Lane get stuck on an island tasked with having to make an open field tackle on Gronk. I expect Gronk to run over him at least once and make him look like a little girl.

Wait a minute, such a thing would insense you far less than me so what exactly are you losing? I think some one isn't as confident in the team they are picking on Sunday I'm still hoping for a NE win, but I'll be damned if I would risk sporting a Leafs av for a team I don't even support in a different league. Now if this were a Leafs/Habs game I'd be all up in that, but I honestly do not give a flying fuck about NE. A more reasonable bet would be for me to don a SEA av and you an Eagles av. Keeping it in the football family.
