Falcons are still in it. NBC is scrambling now to get the rights to broadcast their Week 17 winner-take-all ratings buster with the Panthers.

Happy Birthday Otis was the Fire Marshall on hand when the cake came The secret is to plow through enough crab cakes, steak soup, Shiner Bock bread and steak to avoid the need for cake. In the interest of watching my weight though, I did stick with the grilled veggies. After all - Christmas dinner is coming.

Man - one thing is clear watching this game between the Cards and Hawks. Doesn't matter how good your defense is. If you don't have a QB capable of making SOME plays... you're fucked.

For the wild card, they need to beat the Browns in Week 17, and then need to hope for either the Chargers to lose one or the Bengals to lose two.The Texans, who just beat the Ravens, would need to beat the Jaguars and hope that both the Ravens and Chargers lose so they can get in. Steelers had a couple of bad losses but Baltimore had a shit load of them. Including yesterday. Playoff teams don't lose games like that.

Yeah I won't be sad if they(Ravens) don't make the NFL playoffs. Tom Brady has his worst games against that team. I think the Patriots are like 8-3 against them but every game is a dogfight(usually with the Ravens "beating themselves") and they won 2 of the 3 play off match ups and probably should have won all 3.

They are the one team I thought could make a serious run in the playoffs just because of who they are. But their defense isn't what it was and Flacco just can't help himself not to make the same stupid mistakes that cost teams games. And - losing to a team whose QB was sitting in a tree last Sunday hunting turkey... Pathetic.

Yeah when I did my playoff predictions 6 or 7 weeks ago I thought it might have been wishful thinking keeping the Ratbirds out. That's my least favorite team in the league. I usually like defense but those guys are just thuggish and whiney lol

They had MINN/MIA on the TV next to the table we were at with IND/DAL directly across from me. I had the best of all worlds. When Miami tied the game, I thought of you. When they scored the safety, I laughed at you. When Dallas went up 14-0, I felt for you. Then - I ate and didn't give a shit about you. You were there, Bro.

I'll say they were beaten by a 4th string QB who at the same time the week before was on the Rams practice squad
