Remember that time the Predators were good? No one else will either. I'd rather keep them on that pedestal long enough for the Stars to knock their collective asses off of it on their way to Western Conference dominance. But that's just me.

Not going to argue with you, the whistle was too fast. Thought the refs were trying to protect the goalies because both sides were getting pretty aggressive around the net. The series would have gone back to Pittsburgh and there is no way the Preds were going to win in Pittsburgh. I agree they never would have won in Pittsburgh but I really wanted a Game Seven. What impressed me was how the Pens improved every game of the series. They were horrible the first game, a little better the second, they played well games three and four crushed them in game 5 and then limited them to one goal in game 6. The refs saved the Preds from being embarrassed in game 7, but they also took away a home ice Stanley Cup win.

And the dagger to the heart was that the Preds traded Hornqvist to the Pens.

So how many trades do we see this week? Some teams have too many players and are gonna lose someone good. Some teams have capacity to add some talent because they'd be protecting a pile of shit now.

They'd have to buy him out from what I've read

If the worst that happens is the Pens lose Poliout we are fortunate indeed. It might be best for him too, because I think he's good and with a little more experience might turn into a top 4 defender. He just doesn't seem to impress the coaching staff in Pittsburgh. What do they know? When was the last time they won a Cup? Ummm never mind.

I could justify him. I could justify Malkin. I could not justify Sid.

There we go! Imagine they couldn't get out from behind that and had to expose Murray? Haha, we know who the first pick in that draft would have been!

Wow! That is stunning. If he goes, there will be an emotional pregame video clip when the Knights play their first game in Pittsburgh.

Good thought , although it's the Mighty and Majestic Flames your thinking of

Feeling some vindication with the Orpik buyout. The silly money they threw at him was ridiculous. I'll only remember Marc Stall for getting concussed by his brother Eric and for nearly poking Lundqvist's eye out in the playoffs last year. That was one of the luckiest breaks the Penguins got in years.
