Really? How are they now or when have they been built for longer than 3/4 years? They have sustained success but that is not the same thing when you have an 80% player turnover from one four year stretch to the next. To say they were built for 12 straight years of success when they only have one player left from 2002 would be asinine. No it wouldn't. It would be fair. Brady, belichick and the system. Wonder why we always say brady foea what he does with hit garbage at wr most of the time? You say roster turnovers every 3-4 years? H s ppens every year here...yet, like i said going into the year...12-4 or 13-3. Having a re-build philosophy is not the same thing as being built for success. It's a ridiculous statement from someone desperate to salvage a lost argument.

Theyre the only team to make that claim, so logically...so on and o on. If you're happy with AFC east titles, celebrate I guess Again Read the words Only team to have a run of divisional dominance like that. Set up nearly every year for a sb run with a hof qb and coach. Thats alllllll im saying...thus, theyre built every year to win. Some years they had no business in a title game or superbowl, but somehow they get there. Allllll im saying. What other team can make that claim?

Happens every year here...yet, like i said going into the year...12-4 or 13-3. Really have to say they have under achieved...No doubt Brady and Bill are near the top of the all time list. That's the hard part...They couldnt quite fill in the right pieces to get it done anymore once all the Parcel type guys were gone

But theyre built to win their division every year. That means a home playoff game. That means a better shot of advancing. Built to win.

Actually, the model is to be in contention every year. Here is the Patriots model... - Don't over-extend for any one player at the expense of the future
- Don't get emotional, cut bait with guys too soon rather than too late
- Don't overpay for positions where there are much cheaper, quality alternatives
- Build a 53 man, end to end roster. Not a top heavy team with no depth
- Brady
- Belichick
It's the system they've employed for 15 years. And they're on their way to their 13th division title in 15 years. It's a system that considers it a "down year" when you lose in the conference championship game.

But youre forgetting the most important part Have one of the 5 best QBs ever under center the entire time. In a time when the NFL makes it easier on QBs every year. Theyve done things right no doubt. But all that stuff means shit when you have a Brady or a Peyton.

McCoy gets the Eagles to the ten yard line.
Kelly pulls him out of the game and he never sees another touch on the drive.

I follow trends and am always looking to upgrade my bench/emergency QB. I picked up McCown prior to week 10 and he's put up 45 points in the last two games.
Wilson is going against Arizona or San Francisco in four of the next five weeks. It's a good time to drop him.

Sanchez is making the Packers D look good The pack are one of the few teams that if you get down big early youre done. That D is pretty much built soley for the team to get up early and then just blitz all day

This is ugly
Offense has moved the ball a bit, but their defense has shown no signs of slowing down Rodgers
