2 zip for the Pens so far. And once again the Pens snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. They give up a 3 goal lead and then lose it in OT. 4 game losing streak and I think they were leading at one point in each game. I am so glad I only have to put up with this (nonsense) for 2 more games and then they are done. It must be maddening in the 'Burgh. It has been here in the Motor City. I just blinked and saw the end of game seven of the Stanley Cup finals when the Pens defeated the Wings and I went into a shell for two weeks...

Sens shutout the Rangers. Detroit Habs tied in the 3rd as are the Bruins Panthers end of 2nd Is it just me or are the Sens like the most lucky team right now. Every time they slip and fall behind the other teams seem to let them back in whether it be the game or the standings Panthers pop in 2 in the 3rd 3-1 over the B's halfway thru the 3rd

I still think about game 7 and I have to admit, I didn't think they were going to win. The last 6 seconds of the game seemed like it took an hour, and then the puck popped out I thought for sure it was a tie game. I was watching a replay of the game and was surprised at how fast the 6 seconds went by. The funny thing was the promo for the Cup playoffs that year was, "Every second counts" and that's how it played out.

Haven't made it out to Allentown yet, but I'd like to. If you make it up to Wilkes-Barre and you're looking for a place to eat, my favorite is Grotto Pizza its at the lower end of the Wyoming Valley Mall parking lot. Good pizza, good wings, and a good selection of beer. (They serve a variety of burgers and Italian dishes but I haven't made it past the pizza and wings.) eh, we got em down here too. It's okay. I tell you what I want.......I want a nice fucking Kanish! I used to go to a couple places that were good, but that was a long time ago. Let me talk to my buddy up in Wilkes-Barre, he'll know.

The funny thing was the promo for the Cup playoffs that year was, "Every second counts" and that's how it played out. I thought that Detroit came out flat in game 6 at Pittsburgh after really whipping the Pens' 5-0 in game 5. My best friend Cliff invited me over to watch game 7 and I declined. He couldn't wrap himself around my thought that they were not going to win game 7. You know how sometimes you just have a feeling that it is certain that your team is going to lose? That is just the way I felt from the very end of game 6 leading up to the seventh game. Detroit had been very fortunate to have won vs. the Pens in 2008 and this just did not feel right. Then adding insult to injury, the daughter of the neighbor at my previous house was knocking at my door seconds after the game concluded and I was in the midst of still grieving. This stupid bitch and her mother were wrapped around the erroneous thought that I had intentionally cut her Comcast cable line. It was cut but it was Comcast's fault because they are supposed to bury the damn thing and I was just trying to get my lawn cut. They had even called the police about it earlier that day. Her mom had just finished trying to whack me earlier in the day and now her daughter was on my stoop spewing her venom. She doesn't know how fortunate she is that I didn't cuss her out. A miserable end to a miserable day for this fan.

I know what you mean about having that bad feeling that your team is going to lose. I've called Steeler losses and most recently I described exactly how the Penguins were going to lose to Ottawa and they did. My kids hate me when I do that.

Washington Ave in Scranton used to have great Knish, but it was sold and their not sure how it is now. Consensus though was Leonard's Market, 64 Kado St. (Miners Mills section) Wilkes-Barre has Knish that is to die for. I haven't lived there for a while, but I used to go to Leonard's for all sorts of pastries and they were all good. So lock and load your GPS then next time your up that way.
