Why is there a doofus wearing a Marlins jersey in the expensive seats behind home plate? He's at the world series every fucking year in those same seats, get ready to see him for 3-6 more games.

Royals fans never fear - worthless garbage that no one wants is starting tomorrow for the giants.

@peteabe: Game 1 winner of the Series has gone to win the title 10 of the last 11 times and 15 of the last 17. Red Sox won Game 1, 8-1, last season

I like Hunter Pence, but he has actually pulled his sox up over his knee. Can't condone that.

Bumgarner's World Series stats: 22 innings, 8 hits, 1 run, 5 walks, 19 strikeouts. ridiculous he may have just the gun in signing his extension. he could have gotten $150 million instead of $35 5 years/$35M (2013-17), plus 2018-19 club options signed extension with San Francisco 4/17/12 $1M signing bonus 13:$0.75M, 14:$3.75M, 15:$6.75M, 16:$9.75M, 17:$11.5M, 18:$12M club option ($1.5M buyout), 19:$12M club option

Not exactly "big game".

But he could have turned out to be Rick Ankiel or Mark Prior, too. At least he got enough money that his family was set for generations. He's smart. And he'll STILL hit free agency in his prime.

Its certaintly team friendly. No contract he hits FA i think 2017. He sold 3 years of FA for around 36 Mil (Presuming they pick his options, which is obvious right now) He'd be arb 2 next year. Probably get at least twice as much. So I guess you account for that too. All and all. It was a smart move by the Giants to lock him up early But as a pitcher, at his age of that signing. How can you pass up that money? Given the injury risk of the position.
