$168m committed to Arod, Teixiera, Sabathia, Tanaka, Ellsbury, McCann, Beltran, Prado & Gardner in 2015. That's 9 guys. Why do you care ? You know they will spend another gazillion this offseason Instead of giving yourself an ulcer, embrace the dark side and how they roll . They love their fans, I'm just saying they have like $60m to fill out the rest of the roster. And they need to replace Jeter and Kuroda and give raises to a bunch of guys, too.

They love their fans, Yes....and their fans want and expect them to overpay for over the hill talent, and throw away seasons as a going away present to someone who cant play anymore. rather than develop young talent and supplement with FAs....(which, if you recall, is how they won world series)... so they cater to their stupid fans, so they keep showing up, rather than building a team that can win in the future. I always love this belief that WS winners are built through their system. WS are won or lost 9 times out of 10 on how a team does through free agency, sometimes you swing and hit it out of the park, sometimes you miss

m I've witnessed 5 titles and zero last place finishes since I'm 20. I'm solid, take this argument up with an Astros fan You didn't even have any kids the last time they won a title. Probably seems like a lifetime ago, huh? Yes I did Next

Derek Jeter 0-24 since Derek Jeter Day. What I want to know is when they had Carlos Beltran Day? good news - "we" get rid of Jeter in about two weeks.
Better news - "WMB, JBJ, Bogey & Buch are the cornerstones of your organization for years to come"
Bogey is .368 and mashing in September WMB wont be here next year and JBJ is probably third on the CF depth chart right now not saying a damn thing about Clay, his three good or great starts in a row are meaningless

They won on the back of home grown studs like Manny, Pedro, Papi and Schilly...with core farm system guys like Damon, wakefield etc to make it a home grown team

They are in over their heads this time. So much dead payroll on that list.

LOL, you guys are so cute discussing payroll. "What are they going to do" ? I'm worried about the Yankees going forward. They look to be lousy for at least the next 2-3 years as they clear dead payroll. I actually think the Mets have a brighter future than the Yanks with some REAL young talent to get excited about.
