Word is that he's being named CEO of the former guy's new scam, Trump Media and Technology Group. This illustrious group has already missed their deadline to roll out a beta-test version of their social media service. They claim they are going to compete with tech groups from Twitter to Amazon Web Services to Disney Plus (?)Digital World Acquisition Corp has agreed to merge with the former guy's SPAC to give it a public stock listing. DWAC's stock has risen from $10 to $94 a share since the announcement. TMTG says they have secured $1 billion of additional money from private investors that it would receive after the merger goes through.Did I mention that the SEC is now investigating irregularities in this deal? Seems that there were illegal conferences between the 2 groups before the SPAC was even officially formed, these meetings were not disclosed and that's a yuuuuge no-no. The whole point of a SPAC is that after merging with another company, it can be listed on the stock exchange without as much background checking as a normal stock offering.Still ignoring the rules. After all, he's the former guy, laws aren't intended for him.
