it really doesnt say who the teams are tho. Well hello Pop. And, thank you for chiming in. This will be interesting to see if he gets moved, as I am as sure as I can be that it will come down to how much salary the Dodgers are willing to eat to get him moved. In general, I think the next week will net a flurry of deals, like one with Kemp being kind of expected, and, probably some more from out in left field. And, If you end up back on Hoopla today, let the gang know I miss them, and wish they would visit me more often. |

I wish there was a way to alert me as to when someone posts something here. I have yet to get it really rolling in here, which is why I post on the daily mainly. If I could get some constant back and forth, I would never leave here. what little time I have these days I'll spend in here. Too funny.
It was not all that long ago that Jonathan Papelbon came out and said it would be stupid for him to block a trade to a winning team.
Well, now that we are in full trade dealine mode, it seems that nobody, winning team or not, seems to have any interest in him.
Poor, poor Mr. Riverdance.....

With a 5 -5 tie in the 5th in Chicago, and with 4 of those 10 runs being homers ( including 1 by Cubs pitcher Travis Wood ), I think it is safe to assume that the wind is blowing out in Wrigley today.

Up comes Uggla, down goes Scutaro. By the end of this season, I feel both will be done. For good. Uggla needs to go back down to AAA and figure out what his problem is. He was a good hitter and he needs somebody to look at him and see what he's doing now that he wasn't before and fix it. If he can't improve in about 1 year I would just cut him and forget about him. The Braves tried everything with him and nothing did any good at all. Good luck. |

15/36 7 R 4 HR 8 RBI 3 SB .417
even my bench guys were great, should have been paying attention and started Ozuna or Rasmus for Heyward who didnt play lol

My $ .02. on this. When this starts happening too often, you may want to re-think your participation in that league. To me, getting a bunch of B.S trade offers shows me that maybe I should be dealing with a better & brighter group of folks fantasy wise. That said, and, try as I might year after year, I can never seem to nail down a perfect free fantasy league, as there is at least 1 quitter in every bunch, no matter how much these same folks swear they will be active all year. |

Too bad it is so late in the season so as not to make a ton of difference in the standings, but, Roto is a marathon, and not a sprint. |

It was due to this exact randomness that caused me to form the leagues I run, and, to limit them only to members of baords that I post on daily. It let me know a bit of who I would be dealing with, and they of me, in theory cutting down on both the quitting and nonsense trade offers and such. It has made things better, but only better, and still far, far from perfect. |

So I see we get 1 day game today, and, that the game is already going.
And, on the surface, it is not much of a matchup. That said, I wish I had paid better attention to this game before it got going. Had I done so, I would have advised that anyone in a 1 day pick 'em situation today should have picked Atlanta to win.
It's not only due to the Braves getting the Padres at home, but, the Padres are starting failed outfielder Jason Lane today, as an injury replacement for Ian Kennedy.
At the moment, it is all much ado about nothing, as Lane has only allowed 1 hit so far.
Still, I think it can and will get ugly for the Padres before the game is over.

That makes zero sense to me. Unless, the Dodgers are felling that they need a little middle IF organizational depth in AAA with MLB experience. Even after the Uggla signing, the Giants seem to be a much better fit for Barney. |
